Some Fall Inspired Cards Using The Greetery Botanticuts Oak Leaves Dies

I mentioned earlier in the week that Brandy and I celebrated World Cardmaking Day together.  We didn't actually make cards, but did make lots of fixin's for the cards and this card set was created using the die cuts I made borrowing Brandy's The Greetery Bontanticuts Oak Leaves dies.  I embellished with some sentiments using The Greetery Birthday Blooms and Blessed Blooms stamps and dies.  The psalm sentiment is from a Stamp Simply Words of Encouragement stamp set.  I am so in love with how these turned out.... delightful!

I Have the Best Bestie in the World!

Last Saturday, my bestie Brandy and I were able to get together to celebrate World Cardmaking Day.  This looks like a delicious lunch from a local Hawaiian food joint (yum, yum) and a lot of stamping and die cutting.  I don't think we actually made one card, but we launched up a bunch of supplies for some cards and will be sharing some of those in the days ahead.  Since we didn't get to attend the Embellish It! Play All Day this year, which was intended to be Brandy's birthday present, I decided to use the occasion to gift Brandy a much delayed birthday present and this beautiful card in one of her favorite colors (purple!) colored with my Polychromos colored pencils.  The image was stamped onto watercolor paper using my The Ton Stamps Amazing Gardenia stamp.  I think it made her smile!

Watercoloring with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

I couldn't leave the SSS Winter Flowers stamp set alone, so I ended up stamping in black ink on Bristol paper and coloring using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  These look very different, but they are just a pretty to me.  The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink Year of Psalms stamp set. 

These will go in the stash and it'll be my pleasure to use them come Christmas.

Sending Joy & Peace to You At Christmas - Early Christmas Card Sets

Today is a simple Christmas card.  Being that green is my favorite color, this is also one of my favorite that I've made.  The assortment of product used also makes me happy: Papertrey Ink Wet Paint - Christmas stamps and dies, Papertrey Ink Forest Floor stamp set, The Greetery With Love at Christmas stamp and die set and Taylored Expressions pine leaves die.

So simple and striking!  

I used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the pine leaves in the background and add a little ink blended color to the stark white background.  I couldn't be more pleased how this turned out.

A Set of No Line Watercolored Christmas Cards

I've been making some Christmas cards over the past few weeks and didn't want to start sharing too early.  This means that we might be Christmas heavy over the next couple of months as I share my creations.  I'm beginning with one of my favorites.  I have been intimidated by the no line watercoloring trend for a while.  It isn't that I exactly thought I couldn't do it, more like I wondered if I could do it well.  I decided to overcome my reticence and made these cards using the SSS Winter Flowers stamp set.  The card fronts are colored with my Mission Gold watercolors.  Some were too heavy handed, but most just have that variation that makes watercoloring most beautiful.  

The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink Year of Psalms stamp set in gold heat embossing.  I found this the perfect accent for these cards.  The card base was ink blended with Distress Oxide ink to make the perfect background for my panels.

This entire set was fun to create.  I've got more to share in the coming days.  October is almost here which means Christmas is close and then these cards will be put to good use.

Happy 96th Birthday! A Milestone Birthday Card

Today is my grandfather's 96th birthday.  What a momentous occasion.  I made this card to put into the mail (trying to keep our distance with the quarantine) before we celebrate on another day.  Which means I will make another card for that day.  I just didn't want the *actual* day to go by without marking it.  Hopefully this fall inspired card will brighten the day until we can be in person.
