Easter Cards Using a Tag

I have colored many of the Clearly Besotted Spring Plushies onto Bristol cardstock using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I just love seeing the pile on my table top.  It is very satisfying.  Now to make them into cards.  I was inspirec by a design team card to use my Papertrey Ink Mix-ups Pocket Tags die set to make a spring colored tag as a anchor for the cute little chicky.

I made a couple different versions using the Bunny too.  I like these so much I intend to cut out some more tags of different colors and use up some of the colored images.  Stay tuned.

A Mini-Album Kit

During our Play All Day, Brandy finished this mini-album which was an Embellish It kit.  The colors and embellishments are so adorable I couldn't help but share with you here.

The pinstriped ribbon is a perfect accent to the mint and pink color scheme.  So pretty.

Honoring Our Lost One

Today is my grandma's birthday.  She passed away last August and our loss is still very near.  Part of our grieving process is to take flowers to her grave.  Today I'm taking these brightly colored peonies that I arranged in a plastic vase to her grave with my grandpa.  We know she is not there and we know that she would love the thought of us adorning her grave.  So, we go to honor her and remember.

Rest in peace, Grandma.  You are loved.

Easter Cards

I was so enamoured of the Clearly Besotted release earlier this year that I picked up a few of their stamp sets.  More cards to come, but I thought I'd share this card that I made for Easter using the Ewe Are Awesome stamp and die set.  The flowers are from the Spring Plushie stamp and die set as well.

I am just so pleased with how this set of cards came together when using my Stitched Rectangles dies.

I colored the images which were stamped onto Bristol paper using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  So much fun to put these together.  I've more images colored that require die cutting and making into cards.  I'll be back with more later this week.

I'm entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday March 2019 Spring Flowers because I just love these flowers.  I also entered this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Simon Says Anything Goes.

Spellbinders March Card Kit of the Month

On our Play All Day adventures, Brandy brought her Spellbinders March Card Kit to play with.  These cards are her effort to use the supplies while at the Play All Day.  It was the perfect kit to use since everything you needed to make the card was included in the kit.

I think this cactus is my favorite.  The colors, the sentiment, the flowers...

Fun stuff for a weekend that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  I will be back later in the week to share a wonderful chipboard scrapbook that Brandy also completed during our weekend.

A Tender, Sweet Thank You Card Set

I made a set of cards using my Stamp Simply Fear Not and Words of Encouragement stamp set and an older WPlus9 stamp set with a frame.  I kept the design simple - intending to give these as a gift to be used as thank you cards.  I wanted the Bible verse to be the star and I think I achieved that end.

I didn't capture a picture, but the inside is a Thank You sentiment and a couple of the same yellow roses.

Just what I intended and I'm pleased with how these turned out.

Sending Hugs and a Card Swap Win

I'm sharing a photo of the card Brandy made for the Embellish It! Play All Day in Mesa, AZ.  This fantastic card was ink blended with three different Distress Inks - Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean.  The rainbow of colors is created when these three colors are blended.   The left side has a little Picked Raspberry blending with Salty Ocean.  The Mama Elephant Sending Hugs sentiment stamp is stamped in Black ink and clear heat embossed to create a shiny finish that you can't quite see in the picture.

The card is finished with a simple Wonky Stitched Rectangle die cut and mounted on black cardstock for a striking backdrop.  I didn't get a photo of the bright green card base and/or matching envelope - I should have because it was a great embellishment.

My cards that I swapped are found here.  Not to brag, but we (both Brandy and I) tied with another lady for the win on the judged card swap.  Hooray!  It was super fun to participate and I couldn't help but share this photo of the cards we swapped for.

The Play All Day was fun and the swap made it even more fun.  We will definitely attend again next year.

More Magnificent Magnolias

I had stamped another card panel with my Simon Says Stamp Stamptember Magnificent Magnolias stamp set.  I decided this time to use my Mission Gold watercolors to color the image.  I found the dark version at the top less than satisfying, but the lighter version at the bottom fit my own vision. I decided to finish this just like the previous card. A very lovely result.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Stopping by to share this St. Patrick's Day card with you.  I stamped my leprechaun and pot of gold onto some white cardstock.  colored both with my Polychromos pencils.  I then fussy cut the images out, edging them with a black marker before adhering to a white cardstock stitched rectangle die cut that I had stamped with the sentiments.

I thought this little leprechaun looked as though it was about to begin a shenanigans and so I couldn't help but put the pair together.

We're cooking some corned beef and cabbage later today and I'll be wearing the green all day in celebration!

Luck 'O the Irish at the End of a Rainbow

I'm back today with another enclosure card design.  This time I used my Taylored Expressions Little Bits Rainbow's End die set.  I used my MFT Cloud Stencil to create a background for the rainbow and pot of gold.

The sentiment comes from Brandy's Art Impressions Sham-rock stamp set.  It works very well with the pot of gold  and will be delightful for a St. Patrick's Day treat .  This was a bit fussy to make, but I'm delighted by the outcome so I made a few more.
