Joy to the World - A Christmas Card Set

In this wonderfully crazy world, Christmas is a reminder that all chaos and brokenness is being made new by our Savior, Jesus Christ.  His birth was the initiation of the making right of all that is wrong.  This Truth is something that I am clinging to all the more during a year of chaos, loss and pain.

We are celebrating Christmas with this in mind today and hope that you and yours can actually respond to this card set with true Joy to the World.

 Merry Christmas to you!

Snow Much to be Thankful For

Tis the season to be thankful!  As we approach the final days of our Christmas celebration, I decided that making a few seasonal thank you cards would be useful.  This set was made from some card fronts that I put together a while ago.   The background is a watercolor wash and the images were colored with my Mission Gold watercolors.  I used a Snow Marker to create raised polka dots to mimic snow.  Fantastic finish that only required matting and mounting on a card base.

In this chaotic year, there is still snow much to be thankful for.  I think I'll need a few more cards.

Last Minute Christmas Cards Featuring Unity Stamp's Let's Get Merry Stamp

I picked up the Unity Stamp designed by Ann Corbiere-Scott called Let's Get Merry.  This stamp is designed as a slimline card stamp and so I adjusted it here to make these A2 size cards because that is my preference.  I definitely will try to make a slimline someday, but I decided to make these slightly different.  I stamped onto watercolor paper and used my Mission Gold watercolors to color.  The design allows the user to define the difference between leaves and petals - just like a true poinsettia plant.  I think this is one of the things I like most about the stamp.  As such, you could make the entire image petals or, as I attempted in my cards, separate out green "leaves" from the red "petals".  This first card I covered in Finetec shimmer watercolors as well.  I think I like it better without.

So fun and easy for last minute Christmas cards.

Christmas Cards For My Aunt Featuring The Greetery With Love at Christmas Stamps and Dies

My aunt asked me to make a few Christmas cards for her to send out and these cards are the result of that request.  I had a lot of fun using my Distress Oxide inks to stamp the florals and then Gold heat embossed the sentiment on a white cardstock scalloped frame.  A few sequins as accent and the results are classically elegant.

More Taylored Expressions Seasonal Sprigs Stamped Christmas Cards

I am still making a few last minute Christmas cards.  Also, since they are being rushed, I am also pressed to get the photos edited and blogged.  The cards today were stamped using my Taylored Expressions Seasonal Sprig stamp which I used Bristol and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

I so love the clean and simple look of this stamp and these cards I just couldn't resist making a few extra cards.  Hoping your Christmas cards are done and mailed.  I'm still working on it!

Peace on Earth Christmas Cards Using Papertrey Ink Winter Village Stamps and Dies

To my great delight, my good friend Kyle asked if her and her son could come over and create some Christmas cards.  This is her creation using my Papertrey Ink Winter Village stamp set.  I didn't snap a photo of the card her son, David, made, but trust me he has very sophisticated taste and they turned out great.  So fun to spend time together and create lovely cards in the process.

Deck the Halls - Christmas Cards using The Greetery With Love at Christmas Stamps and Dies

My dear aunt called a few weeks ago and asked if I'd be willing to make her some Christmas cards.  I answered in the affirmative and then made 30 of these to send to her.  It was so fun - Distress Ink stamping using my The Greetery With Love at Christmas stamps and dies.

Real fun and I'm so pleased with how they turned out.  My aunt loved them, though she did mention that she should have asked for 70... silly girl... I'd have made more!

Joy Filled Christmas Cards

I picked up one of the Moda Scrap pattered paper packs and decided that making these cards was just the trick.  I've been inspired to use patterned paper more these last few weeks and delighted with the finish.  The outside of these cards is quite simple and the inside a simple sentiment, but they are some of my favorite makes this Christmas season.

Wishing You Peace

I actually made this card set a while ago.  The photos have sat unedited and unposted for a while.  It's getting close, so I'm sharing now.  I used several Papertrey Ink stamps using an example by Melissa Phillips.  These cards are even more delightful in person, but the inside is also a big part of my love for this card.

More cards for the Christmas stash.  So fun!

Christmas Cards Using Pre-printed Card Fronts and Concord and 9th Plaid Background Stamp

I used a patterned paper from a local scrapbook/paper crafting store, Paper Collage.  I picked up the patterned paper at a scrapbook convention in 2019 and it only seemed fitting that I ultimately make a card set from the paper.  The backgrounds were stamped using my Concord and 9th Plaid Background stamp set.

Perfect cards from our desert Arizona.

More Christmas Cards Featuring Elizabeth Crafts Christmas Kids Stamps and Dies

After I finished the Christmas Tree cards using my Elizabeth Craft Christmas Kids stamps and dies I just couldn't stop.  I ended up making these snowflake cards.

I just love how adorable these cards turned out.  We don't get snow here in Arizona so this reminds me of my youth and I find them delightfully charming.
