Christmas Cards For My Aunt Featuring The Greetery With Love at Christmas Stamps and Dies

My aunt asked me to make a few Christmas cards for her to send out and these cards are the result of that request.  I had a lot of fun using my Distress Oxide inks to stamp the florals and then Gold heat embossed the sentiment on a white cardstock scalloped frame.  A few sequins as accent and the results are classically elegant.  

 

Deck the Halls - Christmas Cards using The Greetery With Love at Christmas Stamps and Dies

My dear aunt called a few weeks ago and asked if I'd be willing to make her some Christmas cards.  I answered in the affirmative and then made 30 of these to send to her.  It was so fun - Distress Ink stamping using my The Greetery With Love at Christmas stamps and dies.  

 Real fun and I'm so pleased with how they turned out.  My aunt loved them, though she did mention that she should have asked for 70... silly girl... I'd have made more!

Sending Joy & Peace to You At Christmas - Early Christmas Card Sets

Today is a simple Christmas card.  Being that green is my favorite color, this is also one of my favorite that I've made.  The assortment of product used also makes me happy: Papertrey Ink Wet Paint - Christmas stamps and dies, Papertrey Ink Forest Floor stamp set, The Greetery With Love at Christmas stamp and die set and Taylored Expressions pine leaves die.

So simple and striking!  

I used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the pine leaves in the background and add a little ink blended color to the stark white background.  I couldn't be more pleased how this turned out.

So much fun!  There are more cards coming!

The Start of Valentine's Themed Love Cards

I couldn't let Brandy be the only one to start with some Valentine's themed cards!  We're two crafty friends and we'd have to admit that there is a sense of "infecting' one another so I felt inspired to begin my card making.  Since I am selling my cards at a local store - not a a lot, but it does make me consider the theme of cards - I decided to do some cards this year that were a little more general, but would work for Valentine's Day.  These cards were created with some of the leftovers from my recent stamping session using my The Greetery Pine Blossom stamp and die set.  I kept a little more white space to create these soft backgrounds and keep the floral bunch as the center of attention.

I am really in love this this stamp set - so classic and elegant in the same breath.  I'm also really enjoying stamping with my Distress Oxide inks - they create a very nice finish and since I have the whole set, lots of color combinations are available.  I guess we're off to the Valentine's Day card making races.

Christmas Greetings - A Small Card Set

I had a few more pieces of stamped and die cut images made using my The Greetery With Love At Christmas stamp set.  I wanted to use them with a slightly different design and this card was cobbled together using the frame stamp (fussy cut out) and a old elegant Christmas Greetings sentiment stamp.  I edged the kraft cardstock mat with some Antique Linen Distress Oxide that gives a softer look in person, but was difficult to manage to get a nice photo.

This last card was my first attempt.  I didn't like the stark white background - something I love when other's use it, but in this case it just didn't work for me.  Not a bad card, but definitely not my favorite made using this incredibly beautiful stamp set.

More Christmas Cards with the Leftovers

I mentioned this weekend that I love, love, loved my new The Greetery With Love at Christmas stamp and die set.  When I made the previous cards and had all the mess out, I made a few extra images, playing a bit with some more colors.  These cards were put together using watercolor Bee Paper as the card base so that I could use the Distress Oxides to watercolor a bit of a background for the cards.  The sentiment comes from a Papertrey Ink stamp set and is gold heat embossed onto the sentiment frame die cut using a Waffle Flower ATC die.

I super love how these turned out as well.  I'm so very glad I picked this stamp set up.  I'm going to link this card up with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Anything Goes.

Warm Wishes At Christmas - More Christmas Cards

Have you checked out The Greetery stamp sets yet?  I always did love me some Papertrey Ink and The Greetery has the same/similar vibe and style.  If I were independently wealthy (I am not!) I would be the proud owner of everything that they produce.  Instead I had to pick among my favorites and today's cards were a primary motivator.  I followed Betsy Veldman's video and example from this post using The Greetery's With Love at Christmas stamp and die set and my Distress Oxide inks. 

I'm ever so in love and just find these cards delightful!

On the inside, a little tone on tone leaf action, similar to Betsy Veldman's look.  I amped the contrast on these photos a bit, the real-life look is a lot more subtle.

I just can't even decide which is my favorite.  Since green is my favorite color, I'd probably land on one of the green ones, but the contrast in this red version is also quite delightful.
