A Blooming Get Well Card

I needed a get well card and I realized that I don't have good get well sentiments.  In fact, most of the get well sentiments that I have are rather tiny (like the one on the inside of this card.  So, I knew I needed to create a front panel that carried the design and this is what I came up with.  White heat embossed Bristol cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers, some More Spring Flowers and a few Even More Spring Flowers.  I colored the images using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers - easy to do and a fine result.

I'm hoping this card cheered my niece during her convalescence.

Stitched Birthday Wishes

I decided to use up my scraps from making cards from my Concord and 9th Stitched Turnabout stamp set.  The card I shared on Monday and this card were the tops and bottoms of other cards made for Mother's Day and some notecards.  The stamping is so pretty and soft that I couldn't just throw them in the garbage, so I ended up making them work.  I think this one might actually be my favorite from the entire set I made.

A For You Notecard - Honoring Memorial Day!

Today is the day that we stop to honor those who died in military service to our country.  We've morphed this holiday into a summer launch day, minimizing the somber, honoring that was originally intended.  My grandfather, at 94 years old and a veteran of WWII, doesn't forget.  He remembers those that he personally knew and lost, he remembers those he doesn't personally know, but honors.  I'm grateful for his example and reminder each year.

I decided to share this patriotically colored card on this day.  For all the "you" individuals for whom this day is not a summer launch day, but a day to remember.

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."

Yippee! It's a Birthday Card

I used my Waffle Flower Yippee stamp and die set to create a pile of adorable little kids.  These cards are the first birthday cards I made with the pile.  I had shared this graduation card earlier made with some of the die cuts.  They are so delightfully happy that you can't help but smile looking at this card!

What a beautiful set of cards!  These will go in the stash for some birthday purpose in the new future.

Such a wonderful stamp set with so many possibilities.  I still have a small pile of this kids so there may be more cards in the future.

A Dainty Sprig Card Set

Stopping by today to share the second set of cards that I created as a challenge to myself to create a one layer card.  This card was created using my Stamptember Altenew Dainty Spring stamp set.

When I was a kid, my room was decorated in yellow and brown with Holly Hobby wallpaper.  This card reminds me of that - though the styling is very different.

I'm very pleased with how the stamp set turned out.

Painted Roses Notecard Set

I decided to challenge myself to create a one layer card design so that I could make a set of ten to fifteen cards.  I reached for my Papertrey Ink Painted Roses stamp set because the layered stamping creates such a beautiful image I was thinking that the one layer card would still be fantastic.

This card is one of two sets I made.  I will be sharing the second set later this week.  The purple and green ink is Altenew inks and the sentiment is stamped in brown Archival ink.

Super fun and I think I met the challenge.

Stitching A Hello

Sharing a card made using up some of the Concord and 9th Stitched Turnabout stamp set.  The focal point is a purple ink stamped image that I clear heat embossed and fussy cut out, raising up with a foam sheet.  The sentiment is a Clearly Besotted Sweet Little Sentiment that I also fussy cut out.  I think they coordinate to create a sweet notecard.

Concord & 9th Die Cut Inspired Card

Brandy was so enamored with the Concord and 9th Floral Print Silhouette dies that she had to create this card set.  So easy to use some patterned paper from the stash to die cut the elephant and pair it with a floral deep embossed panel with a fancy silver strip to anchor that elephant onto the card.  I am so in love with this card - I'm sure I won't ever forget.

A Second Faux Shiplap Hello Card

I had some images leftover on my desk from the faux shiplap card I posted earlier this week.  I decided to put a second card together with a slightly different look.  We saw robins on a recent trip to San Francisco and so I just knew he had to make it onto one of my card.

Instructions for creating this faux shiplap can be found in this video by Dawn Woswagle from WPlus9.

Here's a photo from our trip.  The robins were difficult to catch - please excuse the quality of the photo as they were constantly on the move.  It had been a while since I saw a robin, but did really enjoy it.

A Colorful Encouragement Card

Brandy made this ever so colorful encouragement card using her Penny Black Be Happy stamp set colored with her Mission Gold watercolors.  I just love all the movement and color that she was able to create with a simple stamped image.  So fun!

I'm entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Stitches challenge.

Star Trek Inspired Happy Father's Day Card

I was so pleased with the new-to-me Kindred Stamp's Space Explorers stamp set.  The characters are cute and easy to color.  I quickly set about stamping onto Bristol paper and coloring the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

When they turned out so cute, I knew I couldn't keep from using these to make an adorable Father's Day card.

I've also decided to post this card to my Etsy shop.  Check it out Esty Listing for Star Trek Inspired Father's Day Card.

I am also entering this into the Crafter's Castle Challenge #17 Anything Goes as I colored these images with my Zig markers and the Time Out Challenge # 135 because this card is inspired by a trek to the stars.

A Get Well Soon Card

Stopping in to share this Get Well Soon card from Brandy.  She decided to use some of those delightful Spellbinders Small and Large Die of the Month sets from April 2019 to decorate one more card paired with the Altenew Watercolor Stripes cover die.  Pretty that this card would definitely cheer up anyone who received it.

A Faux Shiplap Hello Card

I'm sharing a card today that totally brought me joy to make.  This card was inspired by this video by Dawn Woleswagle from WPlus9.  The background is a faux  shiplap look using a scoring technique and some chalk ink.  The images are stamped onto Bristol cardstock using my WPlus9 Hello and Thanks stamps and dies and then colored with my Polychromos pencils.  So much fun to make!

New Baby Stitched Turnabout Card

I put together this simple little new baby card using some of the backgrounds I created using my Concord and 9th Stitched Turnabout stamp set.  I stamped the heart in pink and clear heat embossed the image, fussy cutting the image out to mount over the fun grosgrain ribbon.  A chartreuse sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Sweet Little Sentiments stamp set fussy cut out creates a delicate addition.  A few sequins to fancy this card up and I'm done.

I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Stitches

More Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Cards - Mother's Day

Stopping by today to share these lovely Mother's Day cards that Brandy made using her Spellbinder's April 2019 Small and Large Die of the Month kits.  The cover die is Altenew Watercolor Stripes cover die.  There are so many color combinations - I can't pick just one.  These dies create lovely colorful layered flowers and that cover plate die is delightful.  The sentiment stamped on the white cardstock card base creates interest and texture to the cards.

What do you think?  Fantastic, yes?!?

I entered this card in the Crafter's Castle Challenge # 17 and the Die Cuttin Diva's Challenge #420 Flowers and/or Mother's Day.  Join the fun.
