Wishing You Peace

I actually made this card set a while ago.  The photos have sat unedited and unposted for a while.  It's getting close, so I'm sharing now.  I used several Papertrey Ink stamps using an example by Melissa Phillips.  These cards are even more delightful in person, but the inside is also a big part of my love for this card.

More cards for the Christmas stash.  So fun!

Cards for a Card Swap - We're Heading to the Play All Day in Mesa!

Brandy and I are headed to the Mesa Play All Day with Embellish Online on Saturday and Sunday.  Part of the fun is a card swap which Brandy and I are happy to participate in.  I decided to finish the cards I started earlier in the week using my Papertrey Ink Home to Roost stamp and die set as I intend to use these cards in the swap.

The sentiment shape is a cut and emboss Spellbinders die set.  The frame for the focal image is die cut using my Shape Shifters Circle 4 die and a stitched circle die from Divinity Designs. I thought I liked the pink cards best, but once these cards and the different patterned paper were finished, I like these mint green versions best.

This last one with the diamonds is hands-down my favorite.  I think it is because of the interest in the various colors of green, but it could be that the browns in this card create such a lovely contrast.  I can't hardly wait until Saturday and our fun weekend of visiting, crafting and generally enjoying ourselves all day.

A Happy Day Card Set

I picked up the Papertrey Ink Home to Roost stamp and die set and recently decided to use some patterned paper to match with this stamp and die set.  I also had some WPlus9 Oatmeal cardstock on hand that I wanted to try to match with the software pastels of the stamp set.

I also used my Papertrey Ink Shape Shifters Circle 4 die as a background to the focal image of the bird house.  The die was paired with a stitched circle die to create this unique frame - raised with some foam squares so that there is a bit of dimension behind the bird house.

I thought to put these cards together with different patterned paper, but the same stamped and die cut images.  Also, I didn't have one ribbon that matched for all three cards, so I used some ribbon scraps I had on hand.  I just don't even know which card I like best - they all have their own special parts that I like best.

I really like how these turned out, so I think I'll use the mint green bird house that I sneak a small peak in these photos.  I'll be back later in the week with those cards if I get them all put together.
