Pop-up Cards Featuring MFT Outside the Box Level-Up Dies

I just love the MFT Outside the Box Level-Up dies.  The cards go together super quickly and the result is actually quite stunning.  Today, I'm sharing some floral cards I made using the dies.  All valentine's cards should be pretty and these pop-up cards deliver.  This first card was made using florals made with Papertrey Ink Farmer's Market Florals stamps and dies.

This second card was inspired by the "flower bar" shopping display at the local flower shop where I sell my cards.  They always have buckets of flowers similar to a Trader Joe's display.  They will often wrap up these flowers into discount bundles for sale and my card was created to look like those floral wraps.  A cute use to the Papertrey Ink Fresh Floral Wrap Up stamps and dies.  The last card, featured below, I didn't get a front photo but wanted to share here with you as inspiration.

Starting in on the Valentine's Using Paptertrey Ink Fresh Florals Wrap Up Stamps and Dies

It has been a few days since I did much in the way of card making.  This is mainly due to the need to take down Christmas and put it away resulting in cleaning up of the house - something like spring cleaning here in Arizona.  I decided to get back to it with a slew of valentine's card making using some oldies, but goodies.  Today, I'm sharing two cards made with patterned paper scraps from the stash and Papertrey Ink Fresh Florals Wrap Up stamps and dies.  I really like this first one and how the black ink creates a striking contrast to the pretty heart banner background.  

The next card is less striking, but I do enjoy the repetition.  All inks are Distress Oxides and they stamp so beautifully.  I have quite a few more ideas in the hopper and hope to place these for sale at a local flower shop.  They need to go somewhere!

Valentine's Day Shaker Cards

I had used my Cricut Lovestruck cart to die cut these conversation hearts and decided to  pair them with leftovers from my Papertrey Ink Fresh Floral Wrap Up stamps and dies.  I'm pleased how these shaker cards turned out.

I used chunky red glitter as the shaker and the sparkle is better in person.

Hugs and Kisses - Valentine's Cards

I am definitely on a Valentine's Day card making trend.  This is good considering Valentine's Day is a few short weeks away.  I dug deep into the stamp stash and pulled out my Papertrey Ink Fresh Florals Wrap Up stamp and die set.  I used a classic red color theme with accents of black and pink.

I used foam squares to pop up the flowers and the wrap to give a bit of dimension.   I love the clean look that this color combination created.

The sentiment is a Clearly Besotted stamp set in the same ink as the flowers.

So much fun.

Yours Truly for Mother's Day

I had some sparkly mint paper left over from another project and decided to be inspired by the rose pink and mint combination.  I had seen a Pinterest Pin with a similar layout, but different pieces and thought that my Papertrey Ink Fresh Floral Wrap Ups stamp and dies would work well.  I'm really pleased with how this card set turned out.

On the inside - a sentiment stamped in matching ink. Keeping the sentiments simple, I think encourages the giver write a sentimental note and/or leave less said if your relationship with your mom is a bit strained or difficult.  Since I meant to include these in the cards for the fundraiser sale, I followed this consideration.

They look so yummy all together.  I really enjoyed making these cards and have a few more to share with you.  I'm struggling to find time to edit photos and get them posted.  I'll keep focused and hopefully be back soon.

Another Set of Notecards

I just couldn't put my Papertrey Ink Fresh Floral Wrap Ups stamp set away.  This set was made by using some of the wrappers I stamped and die cut for the previous card set and then stamping onto a piece of Bristol cardstock after cutting out with my stitched rectangle dies.

I adore the patterned paper matches on these cards - from a 6 x 6 paper pad.  The dark navy coupled with kraft and pink, scrumptious!

I even like the large polka dots behind on these cards.  Those teeny, tiny paperclips make the card, if you ask me.  So endearing.

This caps off a season of tough times.  I think I was longing for more cheery subjects and these cards are a reflection of that.  Yeah, definitely cheery cards....  Wishing you a cheery weekend!

Bonjour!

I've gotten it into my head to go through my stamp sets and use the stamps that are rarely or never used.  This lead me to my Papertrey Ink Fresh Floral Wrap Ups stamp set.  Their stamp sets are almost always scaled for an A2 card and I often make more like A7 cards.  As such, I sorta was carried away with the novelty of  the size and the charming florals that this set makes.

It was super fun to try out different inks on kraft paper as well as to try different patterned papers together for this very forgiving card design.  Don't I feel cosmopolitan having made this lovely card set?

Let this encourage you - pick up those seldom used or never used tools and give them some much needed love.  My project was a welcome balm during a very difficult week.
