City Crafter Challenge Week 314: Feathers
I decided to whip up a card for a good friend's birthday and join the challenge over at the City Crafter Challenge blog, Feathers. I picked the patterned paper out of the stash and paired it with a solid cardstock frame die cut using one of my Spellbinders dies. The centerpiece is this lovely peacock from my Heartfelt Creations Feathery Peacock stamp which I stamped onto watercolor paper using my Peacock Feathers Distress ink. I then colored the image with my Mission Gold watercolors.
I die cut the stamped image using the coordinating die from the Heartfelt Creations set. After adhering the layers into the card front with some die cut Asters and some die cut greenery. There is a bit of glitter strategically glued onto the peacock because all peacocks like to be pretty! The sentiment is embossed onto a piece of vellum paper wrapped around the patterned paper.
I decided to replicate the card using a bit more heavy handed in the coloring. I think I like this second card a little better, more brightness to the colors. This was so fun I might just put together a card using the second peacock stamp from the die set. Stay tuned, just don't hold your breathe!
I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:
