12 Days of Christmas Gifts

I have made the 12 Days of Christmas gifts for my niece and nephews and for my good friends for the past couple of years.  This annual fun fest is simply one of my favorite things for the Christmas season.  No matter how busy I am, this is a joy filled fun activity and consumes most of my craftiness for the month of December.  Here's some of the projects I made for the gifts.  One gift was a card set intended to be used as Thank Yous for those Christmas gifts.  A simple design so that making 12 of them (3 sets of four cards for each of the three families) wouldn't be burdensome, but also they would be beautiful.  The poinsettia was die cut using my Spellbinders Poinsettia die and then spritzed with white acrylic paint using a toothbrush.

The center of the poinsettia is some Good Earth Elements from Art Glitter.  The greenery cut from Cricut's Joys of the Season from green cardstock.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp's Friendship Messages stamped in black Archival ink.

Next, I used a potpourri recipe found on Pinterest.  I had some precut cotton fabric circles and placed that over a Bell jar of cranberries screwing the lid on tight.  A little twine to hold the tag onto the jar and the recipe cut out with a Spellbinders die.

These Christmas trees are so simple to make.  I totally followed this post which as simple instructions for mass producing this fun treat.

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to dress up some sparkling cider.  The reindeer were fun to create and used up some of the googly eyes I've been holding onto.

Finally, I made some peppermint sugar scrub to sooth tired feet.  Not sure this was the best idea, but I gave it a try and thought the packaging looked nice.

I couldn't resist one last peak at our Christmas festivities.  My sister-in-law hosts Christmas breakfast for everyone on my husband's side of the family.  She is a wonder at setting a beautiful table.  This year's theme was white and gold.  Those are fresh flowers in the centerpieces and chocolate kisses in the center of the napkin.  Such care and love she has poured into our lives.  This year marks more years I've been participating in the celebration than years I spent not participating.  Looking back, I'm so blessed to have entered such a wonderful family and couldn't imagine my life without this special time each year.  I've one more post to show you the finished packages for the 12 Days and then I promise to move onto new projects.

See you soon (if I can get those photos edited).

Thank you so much for your kind words. Isn't it fun to encourage one another, even from a distance?
