New Baby Shower Card
My cousin is expecting a baby and I knew my grandfather would like to send a lovely card to her. I whipped up this card as a quick card to send his love - personalized and caring.
The stamps are from my Lawn Fawn Hello Baby stamp set - one I've used repeatedly and it still doesn't get old. A little ink blending in the middle helps to give the overall feel - soft and pink. Perfect since the little one is expected to be a little girl.
A directed sentiment on the inside so that she knows he's thinking of her.

Hello to a Baby Girl
Stopping by today for a quick jaunt. I whipped up this welcome baby girl card for a new grandma I know. The patterned paper is from the stash, a Basic Grey pattern from many moons ago. The images are from Lawn Fawn's Hello Baby stamp set. I think this works very well to welcome that sweet girl into a new grandma's life.

Another Little Prince Card
When I needed a baby boy welcome card, I patterned up this card front as well. I used the same techniques, just a different layout. Using Lawn Fawn's Hello Baby stamp set, I stamped onto some Bristol cardstock and used my Distress Inks for all color - Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean. Some of the images (lily pad, cattails, stars) were stamped and then using a watercolor brush and a very little bit of water to smooth out the stamping and the frog and crown were colored with the Distress Ink using the brush and water. I used an ink blending tool and the Salty Ocean/Peacock Feathers to create our pond.
On the inside, a multi-colored sentiment to match our card front. Layered onto some colored cardstock, this card is a bit more straight forward - less details that previous version found here. Still, I like the image enough to create this card and keep it in the stash. Super fun for a Saturday (I finished yesterday and blogged today!).
Hoping your week begins with a fine hello too! I'm linking this up over at SSS Work It Wednesday where the theme is to use green. I think my little frog price fits the challenge nicely.

A Baby Girl Shower Card
I had an inspiration to use some of the same card design from this card and my old Stamps of Life stamp set with baby peas. This stamp layers color and I decided to go monochromatic using some olive green ink to match the softness of the light pink in the papers and sentiment.
I ended up making a couple of these cards, thinking that they will be a useful addition to the stash. I used the same dies and layered the image up in the same way - keeping the assembly line process simple.
On the inside of one I stamped this sentiment and image, coloring the umbrella with my Clean Color Brush Markers. So simple, but a nice add. This will help me in the future, but leaving one without a clear sentiment allows it to be assigned for any purpose.
I had so much fun, I decided to die cut some more frames and I'm going shopping in my stash for a third new baby stamp set to see if I can shake up the front design a bit. More on that to come

Baby Shower Card - Baby Boy Style
While I was making baby shower cards, I decided to try a bit of Distress Ink scene making. The card didn't turn out as I expected, more on that later. Here's the details:
- The sheep are die cut using a Quickutz die that is at least a decade old. These little critters are adorable in person, but let me tell you about paper piecing these bad boys together. Each leg is an individual die cut. I almost lost my mind trying to decide whether the sheep look like they are actually standing on a hill. A couple of them look to me like they are about to break their precious little necks.
- Earlier this year, I had purchased a set of IO cloud dies at the scrapbook convention. I, unfortunately didn't empty my convention bag (it is a nylon shoulder bag and I've pinned all my lovely convention pins to the outside, anywhooo). When the construction and work was done on my house, I misplaced the bag. Just found these dies again and decided to die cut some to use as a mask for my Distress Ink scene building.
- I used Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans and Scattered Straw inks to create my scene. There is a little Vintage Photo in the grassy dirt as well. The sentiment was stamped in brown Archival Ink.
When the scene was all made I couldn't shake the feeling that it wasn't girly. The baby's room decorations were sheep and so I thought this themed card would work. All in a rush I decided to stamp a sentiment on the inside and place some pink epoxy dots. I thought that would help. It didn't, so I made a pink card (shared with you a couple of days ago).
This card will go in the stash and I can use it on a future occasion where it fits better or I forget my strong feelings about the front.

Baby Shower Card
I made a card to go with my shower gift. That pink handmade paper called my name so I decided to feature it greatly in the card. I think it really works here - adding a bit of softness and texture that allows the teeny, tiny flowers to be the star. Here's the details:
- The patterned paper in the background came from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy 6 x 6 paper pad.
- The frames were cut using a Spellbinders set. I've lost the labeling and so I'm not sure which set, but I had to hand trim the frame out as it doesn't cut all the way, but leaves the image in the center of your paper.
- The sentiment is cut from white cardstock using my Penny Black Words of Gratitude die.
- The leafy swirl is cut from white cardstock using my Spellbinders Sprig D-Lites die.
- The flowers are cut out of pink cardstock using my IO Spiral Flowers die. I used a little TuTu pink prills in the center.
Inside I used one of the leftover chipboard sentiments paired with a stamp from the stash. I thought this card a perfect blend of soft and sweet, just right for a baby shower card.

Baby Girl Shower Card
After this, I promise we'll move on from the baby theme. However, this card was made by Brandy and she shook it up needing to make a baby girl card. Lots of layers complimented by the use of Heartfelt Creations' Sweet Lullaby stamp set. Each layer has added dimension from the foam squares and the texture from the polka dot embossing folder... my oh my this is a sweet card.
We're just all about baby stuff and I'm grateful for you stopping in to take a peek. I'll be by later this week if not sooner to see what you all have been up to.

Baby Shower Card
Just popping in on the Fourth of July to wish you all a very happy celebration of the birth of the USA. I made this simple baby shower card from the scraps/leftovers after completing a mini-album as a gift. I'll share this a little later as I'm still editing photos. Here, I simply used leftovers of Simple Stories Hello Baby paper pad. The patterned paper is from the paper pad and the sentiment tag is also cut from one piece in the paper pad. This card was for a boy baby who had already arrived (surprise!!!) before the baby shower. Simple and sweet - just like the entire collection. There are both boy and girl elements in the paper pad, but the best part is the most of the pad works in either boy and girl, though if you are looking for girly baby stuff, this is not your collection.
A little twine and some epoxy elements and this card made itself.
Wishing you and yours a safe celebration.

Baby Bundle of Joy Card
I had picked up Heartfelt Creations Sweet Lullaby stamp set and thought I should give it a whirl, though I don't immediately have a need for a baby card. Thus, this creation was born. Here's the details:
- The patterned paper is from the stash- an old paper pack from Hobby Lobby. I was drawn to the contrast between the browns and light blue.
- The sentiments were stamped in black Archival Ink and then die cut with the Once Upon a Time die.
- A second run through the Grand Calibur with coordinating light blue cardstock with the die produced the stunning background to the Bundle of Joy sentiment. I added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink to soften the edges and blend the blues.
On the inside, it was some more of the coordinating patterned paper from the paper pad and one last sentiment. I really liked how this turned out and am now looking for a wee little one to send it off in honor of their arrival.

Encouraging Baby Shower Card
One of the lovely ladies at the Bible study that I facilitate is expecting her second child. Second child baby showers are iffy- especially when expecting the same gender as your first. I couldn't just leave it alone with the group gift and put together this pretty little confection. The papers are from the Prima Madeline paper pack.
The flower was stamped with silver Brilliance ink (you can't tell in this picture) onto a shiny vellum and cut using the Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret die. I inked the flower with a Brilliance teardrop pink ink. After shaping and layering the flowers, I placed a store bought pearl and inked the pearl with the pink Brilliance ink as well. The leaves come from the Heartfelt Creations Aster die set. This was also inked with a green Brilliance teardrop ink, shaped and portions cut for use. The fibers and ribbons come from the stash- too old to identify. Everything is edged in Vintage Photo Distress Ink- a go-to standard for me.
The inside needed a little dressing up so I made this Bible verse in Word and printed on a piece of the patterned paper from the pack. There's a light script behind the verse that adds a little depth in person that the photo doesn't actually capture. It's just the right sentiment to encourage an expectant mom.
Hope your day is encouraging too!
I've linked this creation up at the Cute Card Thursday In the Summertime challenge. With all that bright flowery goodness, it reminds me of summertime. Come join the fun.
