Getting Advice From a Cactus - A Notecard Set

I had some cacti stamped and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers which I had previously fussy cut out.  Why would these sit in the stash?  I couldn't answer that so I made these watercolored card fronts to finish and make cards.  I'm so pleased with the finish!

The cacti are stamped using my Scraps of Love Coffee with a Cactus stamp set and this sentiment is from the Scraps of Love Advice from a Cactus stamp set.

Yay - more projects brought to completion!

More Vintage Photo Scrapbook Pages

I had previously mentioned that I was scrapbooking some old photos - OK, maybe not vintage, but from my youth - that I received when my grandma died and we went through her photos.  These pages were made using a set of double sided patterned paper and associated embellishments.  This product was a free gift at a Scrapbook Expo a few years back.  I decided not to just let it sit in the stash, but put it to good use.  These aren't the best pages I've made, but they are done and in a book and that is meaningful!

I'm glad these memories are preserved.  I am grateful that folks will be able to flip through them and see my memories.

Notecards Featuring Stamping Bella Bundle Girls

These cards are the last sets made with new Stamping Bella stamps and I recently purchased.  This first couple of cards was stamped using the Stamping Bella Girl with a Heart Trail Stamp onto Bristol cardstock and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I messed up on this first one and the red heart bled.  I just added some more water and smeared more red to make the ground she is walking on.  It kinda works!

I truly love patterned paper and had almost as much fun putting the cards together as I did in coloring.  So sweet.

This last couple of cards used the Stamping Bella Girl with Falling Hearts Stamp.  Such a sweet image.  I thought this was so darling and the background patterned paper delightful.

All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase and these cards made with the stamps.  So fun.

More Scrapbooks Vintage Photos - Not Quite So Vintage This Time

I've been working together with some pre-made scrapbook pages and old pictures from my grandma.  Many of the photos of my children and that era are duplicates that I sent to her to keep her connected as they grew and she was living in Colorado.  On the contrary, many of the old photos (below) are photos I'd never seen, but were taken when I was visiting as a child.  Either way, they need to either be placed in a book to be viewed by others or they are unnecessary clutter that should be purged.  I decided to place them in these scrapbook pages.  Not a perfect match, but I don't care - I used up a resource that has been sitting unused (pre-made scrapbook pages) and I have the photos to display.

This little waterfall album captures mostly landscape photos that I didn't want to lose, but didn't need to be fully on display.  I slipped the little album between scrapbook pages for posterity.

So glad these are out and that I can now share them with family that want to see and remember.

Cacti + Cact You = Cactus - A Card Set featuring Scraps of Love

We've entered that awful month in the desert where 100 degrees F or greater are our regular.  This is a time when the desert becomes very.... brown.  So I decided to cheer myself up with some coloring on Bristol cardstock using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and my Scraps of Love Advice from a Cactus stamp set.  This set is chock full of clever sentiments and the beautiful focal image is so easy to color.

These are so sweet and I adore all the green (being my favorite color).  Simple and in the stash for just when I need them or as a special gift.

Hanging My Embroidered States and US Wall Art

I finally finished this project, the wall art and hung on the wall.  The location is in a corner of a room that doesn't have a lot of natural light, but what light does come in glares.... this made getting a good photo difficult.  Still, this gives the idea and is proof I finished the project!

A Notecard Set Featuring Stamping Bella Stamps

I recently picked up this Stamping Bella There, There Tiny Townie stamp.  So adorable and definitely speaks to the times as well as some personal stuff that has been going on.  I decided to stamp onto Bristol cardstock and use my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color the images.  Then, all there was to do was to mount onto some printed cardstock and finish off with some die cut hearts and Crystal Accents.

Easy cards to make, just the right sentiment to send and something beautiful for the recipient to hold in their hands.

I also picked up the Stamping Bella Happy Dance Squidgy stamp.  This is much more cheery and a completely different tone.  Coloring this little darling was delightful.  I paired each of these ladies with matching patterned paper and mounted onto a card front.

These will be in the stash for just the right situation where I can send them for a celebration.

Notecards Made Using a Card Kit

Brandy was going to give this kit away.  I agreed that I could take it and make the cards from it.  I'm so glad that I did, though I'm sure who she would have passed it onto would have loved it too.  The card kit is from Embellish It and though they don't have this particular kit, they do have lots of other kits.  They kits are easy to put together and they form beautiful (or in this case, handsome) cards with only a little effort.  I've always found that the kits have what you need, though sometimes you need to carefully read the instructions before cutting paper apart as the orientation sometimes matters a lot.

More cards for the stash.... the quarantine has been nice to may card stash even though I have sent quite a few cards.
