Rawr Means I Love You in Dinosaur Featuring Lawn Fawn Rawr Stamps and Dies

It has been a while since posting.  It isn't that I haven't been crafting, just that I haven't been blogging.  This month included my husband's birthday, Father's Day, both kids moving out of our house (we're empty nesters now!) and other family busyness.  There simply wasn't a lot of time to do crafting and blogging.  I'm going to try to catch up over the next couple weeks.

This first set of cards is using an older Lawn Fawn Rawr stamp and die set.  I was just taken with this having spied an older card on Pinterest.  I made this first card for my husband's birthday card.  I will admit to being prickly sometimes so I hoped that this play on words would make him smile and send a message of love on his birthday.

I couldn't help but play on the theme with other elements from the stamp set and different color schemes, so a set of cards was made!

All in all, this was a fun set to play with and I really like these simple and cute cards.

Happy Father's Day Cards Featuring Tim Holtz Funky Cactus Dies

I have been itching to utilize my Time Holtz Funky Cactus dies since I bought the a couple of months ago.  I'm so glad I finally decided to use them because these cards are absolutely adorable.  I used kraft as my background and Distress Oxides to create a setting for these funky cactus in a cute Father's Day card.

I truly thought that I forget to get the "pots" dies because I cut so many of the cactus.  I'm sure there are more cards in my future, but these Father's Day Cards are perfect for the occasion and a beginning.  So fun!

Father's Day Cards Featuring Taylored Expressions Argyle Stamp, Stencil and Dies

I just loved the Taylored Expressions release last month for Father's Day and I picked up the Taylored Expressions Argyle Stamp, Stencil and Dies.  I couldn't resist a set of cards made with masculine colors and utilizing my The Greetery AlphaBuds dies.  I kept the design simple and utilized a bit of vellum, the perfect offset for the busy background which keeps the argyle front and center.

So fun!  I'm ready for Father's Day!

Father's Day Cards Featuring Scraps of Love Cactus Coffee Stamp Set

I had some of the images from Scraps of Love Cactus Coffee stamp set in the stash that I had previously colored.  I ended up putting them together with some patterned paper and a heat embossed sentiment (to create that metallic "plate").  I like the black lines better than the white heat embossed, but they are both pleasing uses to these bits that were leftover from another project.

Go Boldly - Star Trek Inspired Cards Featuring Kindred Stamps Space Explorers Stamps

Father's Day is quickly approaching.  I had to pull out my Kindred Stamps Space Explorer's stamps to make a set of cards.  One of these will be going to my dad to celebrate and the others will be used in the stash and for sale on my Etsy store.  I made some very faint galaxy backgrounds with my Distress Oxides and then splattered with water, white ink and glitter watercolors.  The planets are all Distress Oxide backgrounds splattered and then swiped with white acrylic paint.  I'm just so pleased how they turned out.  Check out my Etsy store if you want one of these beauties for yourself.

I'll be back with more Father's Day cards later this week as I have been working furiously.

Creating Card Kits

I was asked by a good friend if I'd be interested in hosting a card making event for her women's group at her church.  Of course, the answer was an enthusiastic "Yes, ma'am!".  Quicker than you could change your mind, I put together these kits using patterned papers from the stash and some stamped and die cut florals using The Greetery Lovely Blossoms stamps and dies.  I fashioned the cards after this set of cards I'd previously made which were directly inspired by the Greetery Design Team.  The only change is that I used a set of Bible verse stamps as the sentiments.

I made two samples to be used to promote the event.  The design is simple enough that an inexperienced card maker can use simple supplies (only glue needed as I will provide card bases and the kits).

I can't wait for the event which is schedule in July and to meet the lovely ladies and hopefully we'll all have a good time!

A Set of Notecards Featuring The Greetery Botanticuts Tulips and Market Baskets Dies

I'm really liking the pairing of these The Greetery Botanticuts Tulips die cuts with the Market Basket dies used with matching patterned paper as liners for the baskets.  I used some bronze metallic cardstock to make these baskets and just love how they turned out.

Of course, half the magic is that fantastic patterned paper.  So much fun to make these cards!

Additional Belated Mother's Day Cards Featuring The Ton Monarch Butterfly Dies

How could someone forget about these gorgeous cards!?!?!  Somehow, I failed to post these cards back before Mother's Day.  When I figured out my error, I decided to simply edit and post because they are so beautiful and stunning.  Brandy made these cards using her The Ton Monarch Butterfly dies.

So beautiful.  It will be worth the delay!

Just for You Featuring Waffle Flower Tulips Stamps and Dies

I found these tulips in the stash where I left them after stamping and die cutting sometime last year.  Pairing them with the texture of this card front works very well and I'm so pleased with how this card turned out. Delightfully pretty!

Belated Mother's Day Cards

Brandy sent me these photos back before Mother's Day and I am belatedly posting to the blog because I somehow didn't save the photo and upload to the blog.  I know it is a bit late, but these cards are worth the post!

So tender and sweet, anyone would be honored to receive such a card!

Still Cozy Anniversary Cards Featuring Colorado Craft Lots of Love Stamp

Today is my 28th wedding anniversary.  It is hard to understand where the time went, but I am very grateful for my husband's loving devotion.  I can honestly say that every year gets more and more sweeter and I am ever so grateful for my loving husband.  I made this card using Colorado Craft Company Lots of Love stamp which features the artistry of Anita Jeram.  These bunnies are so adorable.

Ultimately, I colored two different card fronts and made two different cards.  I picked the best for my hubby and the other goes into the stash.

Happy anniversary, hubby!
