A Notecard Set for a Friend's Birthday Celebration

A good friend had a birthday this month.  I am so enamored with the mini-slim cards and envelopes from Taylored Expressions and so I used this opportunity to make a set using a Paper Rose Stamptember 2020 stamp set and the Taylored Expressions mini-slim scalloped rectangles dies.  

 The florals were colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and splattered with gold watercolors.  Simple and effective, she loved the gift!

Card Backgrounds Using 3D Embossing Folder

I was inspired to create these cards by Nicole Spohr who used Copics to color an embossed image.  I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers after embossing some Brisol cardstock.  A simple die cut sentiment to finish the card makes the background the star.

It is fun to be inspired and with all the cards I've made, such inspiration is very rare now.  Yay for crafty inspiration.  

Making Cards From Ann Corbiere Scott Designs Art Printables

Today I'm sharing some of the Ann Corbiere Scott Designs Art Printables that I colored on my vacation.  I fussy cut this first floral from the Aunt Sylvia Art Printable after coloring with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and placed on a background made using Taylored Expressions Blooming Florals stencils that were die cut using my WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die.  A perfect Match.  

This second card utilizes a floral from the Mom Art Printable and both cards have a sentiment stamped and die cut using The Ton Easy Expressions stamps and dies.

 This last card features a Polychromos colored Aunt Sylvia Art Printable which is paired with sentiments using Taylored Expressions Happy stamps and dies and a background made using Taylored Expressions Pierced Circles cutting plate.  It is really fun to see the results of this crafty time in such a variety of cards.

Notecards Featuring Pink Fresh Studio

This summer has found me campaign stamping and die cutting and so I had made a few extra of the Pink Fresh Studio Butterflies stamped and stenciled die cuts.  Wanting to put them to very good use, I decided to make this set of cards featuring Taylored Expressions Pierced Circles die cut as a background.

 Simple and yet a very pretty set of cards!

Just a Note Notecard Set Featuring Tim Holtz Funky Cactus Dies

I had more of the Tim Holtz Funky Cactus die cuts on the table and I put them together with an embossed background and a simple sentiment.  I just love these die cuts and this set of cards makes me happy!

Birthday Butterfly Cards Featuring Pink Fresh Studio Butterflies Stamps, Stencils and Dies

I had the need for a birthday card last month and, of course, I turned to my new Pink Fresh Studio Butterflies stamps, stencils and dies.  Letting the butterfly take centerstage, I paired it with an intricate white cardstock die cut and The Ton Stamps Easy Expressions stamped and die cut sentiment.  

 I've really enjoyed making matching envelopes by stamping with an element from the card.  This time is was the outline of the butterfly in a very light pink ink.  My friend was delighted and I think she really enjoyed the celebration.

Notecard Set Featuring Ann Corbiere Scott Designs Art Printable

When I was on vacation in May I couldn't resist packing a few simple craft supplies to occupy the in-between times.  The result of that craftiness is this card set.  I had printed the Ann Corbiere Scott Designs Rightbrainart Art Printable onto a very textured white cardstock and Bristol papers to bring with and then packed my Polychromos colored pencils and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  Today's card set was colored onto the textured white cardstock with my Polychromos.  I love the depth of color and the texture created.  The backgrounds are made using very light colors and a cotton ball using a technique I saw in a Kristina Werner video.  The sentiments are from the stash of Taylored Expressions Simple Sentiments stamped and die cut.

 So fun and colorful, I truly enjoyed the entire process.

Hello Notecards Featuring Tim Holtz Funky Cactus Dies

Oh my, but I had a ton of fun creating cactus with the Tim Holtz Funky Cactus dies.  I used a bunch of colored cardstock scraps to make way too many cactus and then had to figure out how to make some cards.  I started with this set which features a background of Distressed kraft cardstock die cut with my The Greetery Postage Stamp die.  A simple sentiment kept those cactus the star of the show! 

 I'm loving the result!

Notecards Featuring The Greetery Always in Bloom Stamps and Dies

I wanted to use the new-to-me The Greetery Always in Bloom stamps and dies and so I made a bunch of florals with the stamps and dies and then had the awkward moment when I realized that I didn't have any real intention with those florals.  Has that happened to you?  I powered through and this card set is a combination of all the various designs I was able to come up with.  Using embossed backgrounds seemed and easy and delightful fit as well as making some coordinating envelopes to add a bit of flash. 

 I think my recovery was successful and I enjoyed the cardmaking immensely!

Graduation Card Featuring Taylored Expressions Argyle Stamp, Stencil and Dies

Of course, 'tis the season for graduations.  My kids are now out of college and so the number of kids I know is dwindling, but there are a few of these young people that I get the pleasure of celebrating.  This card was made for a friend's son who graduated from the same high school as my kids.  A high school themed color scheme seemed perfect and using the Taylored Expressions Argyle Stamp, Stencil and Dies was a great combination.  The sentiment is a combination of Papertrey Ink Congratulations mini-stamp and die and The Greetery Alphabuds dies.  

Simple and effective!

A Freshly Picked Card Set Featuring The Greetery Flower Market Bouquet Stamp and Dies

I had so much fun with the new-to-me The Greetery Flower Market Bouquet stamp and dies and this card set was made with them.  The colors were so fun to combine and then match to patterned paper.  Combinging the florals with The Greetery Fit to Be Tied dies and The Greetery Market Baskets Sentiment stamp set as well as WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die as a background made the perfect finish. 

 So very much fun!
