Graduation Cards

I decided to use up some of the patterned paper in the stash and make these graduation cards inspired by my alma mater spirit colors.  This was a simple design using my Papertrey Ink Congratulations mini-stamp set and die to cut out the congratulations, a very old Quickkuts 2019 die cuts and using some Crystal Accents to make them all shiny.

I prefer the card with the triangle portion, but both turned out to be fantastic.

More Handpainted Poppies

Brandy is keeping the poppies coming - this time combining a variety of colors.  This painting creates the decided image of the transparent nature of the poppies in their natural setting.  Again - I'm just is awe of Brandy's talent and mad skills.

Mother's Day Cards Using SSS Beautiful Day Stamp Set

I finally (!) used my Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day stamp set.  In fact, the patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow papers included in SSS's April 2018 card kit.  Yep, I'd not used them before now.  But, once I did, I went to town.

The butterflies and foliage were stamped onto Bristol cardstock and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  They are so easy to create a bright and beautiful image which pairs magically with the patterned papers.

I've a few butterflies left over that I intend to put to good use on some graduation inspired cards.  So fun!  I'm linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Simon Says Anything Goes.

Handpainted Poppies - Round Two

Brandy has been faithful to keep up on her commitment to practice her free hand water coloring.  In this case - yellow poppies.  Whoa - this day's result is very delicate and delightful.  Keep them coming, Brandy.

Christ is Born - Happy Easter!

Happy Easter morning to you!  Today we celebrate our risen Savior.  I saved this card to share with you on the brightest day of the year.

The paper piecing was created using my SSS Floral Cross die and SSS Tiny Words Faith stamp set.

On the inside - a simple sentiment to share the celebration of Easter.  This sentiment is from the Clearly Besotted Spring Plushies.

May your celebrations be filled with joy!

I'm entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Simon Says Spring Mood Board and the Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday March 2019.

Maymay's March ATC Inspiration Challenge

I'm back to share the last of our ATC cards for the Maymay Made It's March Motivation ATC Non-swap.  I'm not quite as confident with my free hand painting as Brandy is so I used my Elizabeth Craft Camping Out Stamps and Dies to create these ATC cards.  The images were stamped onto Bristol paper and colored with my Zig True Color Real Brush markers.  They make it easy to look like I'm an advanced colorist.

I thought that I liked the little bear best until I colored the fifth wheel trailer.  The cute little trailer is adorable and definitely sent the message that I was looking to share.

The Non-swap was so much fun to participate in.  I can't wait to receive our swapped cards.

Maymay's March Motivation ATC Non-Swap

I'm stopping by to share Brandy's second set of ATC cards for Maymay Made It's March Motivation ATC Non-swap.  Brandy embraced the spirit of the ATC - that a card is meant to showcase the artist (
"A" in the ATC) and their skills.

For Brandy's second set, she used her Mission Gold watercolors to create a row of hand painted poppies in a small, ATC canvas size.  Mounting them onto black cardstock accentuates the beauty of her hand painting.  I'm in awe of the talent and how these ATC's showcase the finished work.

If you hurry, it's not to late to join the fun.  As long as your ATCs arrive by April 30th, you too can join the non-swap.

I'm entering these cards into the Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday March 2019.

Maymay's March Motivation ATC Non-Swap

Today I'm stopping in to share my first of two sets of ATC cards for Maymay Made It's March Motivation ATC Non-swap.  I had picked up some Gorjuss Girl stamps - the mini size girls - a while ago.  i thought that the ATC non-swap would be a perfect use of these stamps - creating a portrait style ATC.  I colored each image with my Polychromos pencils, keeping the design simple by using some gorgeous patterned papers from the Moda Fly and Scrap 6 x 6 paper pack

I had such fun coloring these images - using the patterned paper to inspire the colors.  I felt a small twinge when I had to cut down the images, but in the end, I'm so very pleased with how these turned out.

Of course, I'm most pleased with the quality of the finished product.  I'm so glad Brandy decided to join the fun and shared the idea with me.  I'll be back tomorrow with Brandy's second set of ATC cards.

Maymay's March Motivation ATC Non-Swap

Brandy has been a fan of Maymay Made It and occasionally watches Maymay's videos.  When she heard about the March Motivation ATC Non-swap, she felt inspired to join.  When we discussed it, I caught the same fever.  I've got quite a few photos to edit and get these sets posted.

This first ATC was Brandy's original inspiration.  She had purchased Scraps of Love Arizona Collage stamp set a while ago and thought that it would be a perfect ATC swap.  Since Arizona is known for our copper mines as well as the catcus, etc. this card was meant to be a treasure to the person who receives it in the swap.  I thinki it is delightful.

I'll be back tomorrow with a post for my first ATC.  Yes, that's right - we both ended up making a second set of ATC cards so that we sent two different sets to the non-swap.

It's not too late to join the swap which was meant to motivate in March, but Maymay gave a long time to package and ship.  As long as she receives the ATCs by April 30th, you get to participate.

I'll hope to see you all join the fun.

Stitched Turnabout Cards

I decided to put a few of the Concord and 9th Stitched Turnabout stamped images to good use.  These notecards were made using the stamp set and fussy cutting out the heart.  As I mentioned with the Mother's Day cards, I super love how the card design was easy and the sequins added just the right touch.

Card making fun at it's finest.  I'm going to enter this in Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge Simon Says No Designer Paper.
