More Monogram Card Sets

The monogram card project is done!  These little beauties are the final version of the monogram card sets I am making for my son (and now other members of my family).

Making 50 cards that are all pretty much the same can get a bit monotonous, especially when you have other projects you want to work on.  So, I may have taken a few shortcuts on these last few, but all in all I am pleased with my efforts.

I am once again so happy to have used items from my stash!

Neon Monogram - A Card Set

I mentioned in a post that my son requested an all occasion card set some time ago,  and slowly, but surely I have been working on them. The most recent inspiration came from the Concord & 9th monogram stamps and Rina K. Of Gina K. Designs Electro-Pop inks.

I absolutely love the neon colors in the ink collection.  There is something so bright, but not too glow in the dark looking that I am drawn too, especially the Raging Red and Blaring  Blue together!

The monogram stamps are a classic and so well designed. I did spend a considerable amount of time cutting the little die pieces to put on top as an embellishment,  but if you wanted to skip that step the single layer stamped out is just as nice.

With this Covid19 pandemic and self isolation,  I have never been so thankful for my crafty stash.  I pray everyone is safe, healthy, treating each other kindly, and that our world will heal soon.

B is for Birthday - A Monogram Card Set

I mentioned that my friend Kyle and I collaborated to bless a friend with the 12 Days of Christmas gifts.  I've done this type of gift many times before (check these out:  here, here and here).  It's fun to do, but more fun when we do it together.  This year we decided to make a set of notecards using the initial of the recipient.  Some patterned paper and my Concord and 9th Monogram stamp and die set makes this process easy and the result absolutely beautiful.

We made another card as a part of the set for a dear friend who is having a birthday soon.  Just so we're a bit ahead of the game!

I did some of the work, but most of the work was done by Kyle, so again - a big thank you to Kyle and all the credit for this work goes to her.

A Monogram Card Set

I decided to make a set of cards for my friend's birthday and, since my Concord and 9th Monogram stamps and dies were on the work table, I decided to use it to make a personalized set of cards featuring patterned papers.  I am extremely tickled with how these cards turned out.

She was so delighted with her gift.  I'm glad she liked it but hope that she actually uses the cards because I'm sure to make more in the future!

A Milestone Monogram Birthday Card

This is my year for milestone birthdays.  My family and friends appear to all have milestone birthdays.  This card was made for a good friend who celebrated 60 years this year.  I thought that using my Concord and 9th Monogram stamp set with her first initial would be a special way to mark the occasion.  I stamped the "K" using a light blue ink, embellishing with the flowers and leaves finally adding some pearl accents to the card to make it stand out.  The focal image required some kind of a background so I decided to use the matching die set for the Monogram stamps to create a "clip board" like image. 

On the inside - a simple birthday sentiment.  We're all getting older.  My friend doesn't look her age and I truly hope there are many more to come.

Christmas Themed Thank You Cards

I was so enamored with the monogram card sets that I made, I decided to whip up these thank you cards using a similar supply.  In this case, the monogram stamped using my Concord and 9th Monogram collection stamps and die set is die cut with the tag die and the sentiment gold heat embossed on the front.  There is shimmer pen on the flowers, but again, tough to get a good photo showing the shimmer off.  I paired the monogram with some shiny gold ribbon.  We'll be using these to express our gratitude this Christmas - something that we should do more of.

Using my Mini MISTI, these were quick to stamp up and simple to put together.  I intend to use these stamps again soon - so much fun.

We intend a rip, roaring good time tonight celebrating the ending of 2018 - a year of much change in our house - and the beginning of 2019.  We're hoping for a great year and wishing you the same.

Monogram Christmas Tags

Whew!  The last week of the holiday went really fast.  I didn't stop to consider whether I had posted all the photos of my Christmas projects and these tags were done late.  I'm sharing them now, a bit late to the blog, but here nonetheless.

I made these tags using my Concord and 9th Monogram collection stamps and die set as gift tags for the Monogram card sets that I made.  In each case, the letter is the individual's monogram.  On these tags I decided to die cut the leaves and flowers to create some dimension.  The gold is a piece of Bristol cardstock painted with gold watercolor paint.  It has a ton of depth in person, though this is hard to see in the photos.

Here's one of the tags on the gift bags - turned out just as perfect as I'd hoped.  Such a fun project, start to finish.  I was very pleased with the entire project.

Finishing the Monogram Card Set

On these cards, I decided to skip the monochromatic vibe and go in the contrasting colors direction.  I'm super glad that I did.  The purple is a great match to the yellow.  As with all the other cards, I stamped using my Concord and 9th Monogram collection stamps and die set.  The general sentiment card used the S monogram - S is for Sympathy. 

This ends the cards in the card set.  I've actually delivered these cards to the recipients.  They super loved the card set.  I'm hoping that they put them to good use!

The day before Christmas Eve has arrived.  I'm actually running around today - getting a bunch of last minute tasks done - including cookie making.  I'm hoping your week of celebrations is festive and joy filled.

The Aqua Monogram Card Set

Aqua - such a beautiful monochromatic color.  I'm back today with another card made using my Concord and 9th Monogram collection stamps and die set.  I'm more than halfway done completing the card set (a planned total of 32 cards):

• One each of a set of cards with general sentiments
• One each of a set of the individual's monogram (i.e., A for April's cards, M for Mai's cards, L for Lorraine's cards and K for Kathy's cards)

In this case, the general sentiment card used the H monogram - H is for Hello.  

On each of the cards, I used my shimmer pen to add glitter to the flowers.  It is really difficult to capture that in the photos, but trust me the coloring is beautiful in person.

Christmas is nearly here.  Advent is nearly over.  I have one more set of cards to share in this set and then the focus shifts to celebrating the birth of our Savior.
