Mother's Day Cards Using SSS Beautiful Day Stamp Set
I finally (!) used my Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Day stamp set. In fact, the patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow papers included in SSS's April 2018 card kit. Yep, I'd not used them before now. But, once I did, I went to town.
The butterflies and foliage were stamped onto Bristol cardstock and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. They are so easy to create a bright and beautiful image which pairs magically with the patterned papers.
I've a few butterflies left over that I intend to put to good use on some graduation inspired cards. So fun! I'm linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Simon Says Anything Goes.

Textured Cards
This is the last in the series of Mother's Day cards being brought to you on this Mother's Day. I used an old Stampin' Up stamp for the sentiment frame onto Bristol and colored with my Zig Clean Color brushes. Simple textured backgrounds set off the focal point keeping the design simple. I didn't get a photo, but I printed out common card sayings on the inside for this set - giving the sender something pre-printed to say.
As you can see, I toyed a bit on background colors, etc. just to have a bit of fun.
Happy Mother's Day to you and all the mothers in your life.

Mother's Day Cards
I'm shaking up the flower theme of Mother's Day cards and went with a new-to-me Sizzix butterfly die cut to keep the watercolor background of this card the highlight. I used my MISTI Creative Corners set to stamp the sentiment on the card front at an angle. The triangle from the Creative Corners made stamping accurately easy and quick.
The watercolors were made using my Mission Gold watercolors which give a vibrant finish, one that I can't stop oogling over. Super fun, super simple and some more to add to the stash being sold at the fundraiser.
This card front was made using my Zig Starry Colors glitter watercolors. The picture doesn't do it justice, this is sparkle heaven!

Another simple sentiment on the inside leaving the sender a place to write a heartfelt note. How is your card making coming? Are you celebrating the big day? I'm stopping by some of your blogs to check it out!

More on the Mother's Day Theme
Oh how I love my Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp and dies. Of all my layering flower stamp sets, this set is the easiest to use and get the best results. This card turned out exactly as I visioned it. The background die was cut using my Heartfelt Creations Raindrops on Roses die - now retired. I used the faux metal technique, which has become a go-to, too create the shiny gold die cut. I added gold glitter watercolor splatters using my Zig Starry Colors.
Some gold sequins finish off this card, Of all the cards, this was my favorite to make - because the stamp set is so fun, because I always love the watercolor and because gold and a rose pink is really working on me recently.
Here's hoping your mother's day card making endeavors are going well!

Yours Truly for Mother's Day
I had some sparkly mint paper left over from another project and decided to be inspired by the rose pink and mint combination. I had seen a Pinterest Pin with a similar layout, but different pieces and thought that my Papertrey Ink Fresh Floral Wrap Ups stamp and dies would work well. I'm really pleased with how this card set turned out.
On the inside - a sentiment stamped in matching ink. Keeping the sentiments simple, I think encourages the giver write a sentimental note and/or leave less said if your relationship with your mom is a bit strained or difficult. Since I meant to include these in the cards for the fundraiser sale, I followed this consideration.
They look so yummy all together. I really enjoyed making these cards and have a few more to share with you. I'm struggling to find time to edit photos and get them posted. I'll keep focused and hopefully be back soon.

Popping Up to Wish a Happy Mother's Day
I picked up one of the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Card Pop-Up die because Nicole Spohr is so very inspiring. I thought the first best use would be to make some Mother's day cards and here's my effort.
I used my Simon Says Stamp's Spring Flowers stamp. I white heat embossed the flowers on some watercolor paper and used my Mission Gold watercolors to color them before fussy cutting them out. The sentiment is a combination of stamps and my SSS Tilted Banners die.
The dies make it so easy to put these cards together. I look forward to making more cards from this die set and then filling them with various different themed die cuts. So fun.
I added these to those cards for the card sale and imagine the purchaser's excitement and the recipient's joy.

It's an Altenew Peony World
As I mentioned, I'm now playing catch up with taking photos of cards and projects as well as getting them posted. This is the last of the Mother's Day cards that I made this year. I used my new Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set to create these lovelies and couldn't resist sharing with you. I stamped and die cut a bunch of these and decided to use them to make my cards.
The inks are all Simon Says Stamp's hybrid inks. I didn't write down the color combinations, but suggest that you play with the stamp pads you have. No need to go out and buy a bunch of inks for this stamp set!
I kept the design simple to keep these flowers the center of attention. In the future, I intend to use a second generation stamp for the leaf background portion as I lost a bit of crispness to the image since my green hybrid combination covers some of the detail. Still, the finished results pleased me and their recipients.
If you haven't tried out the layering stamps, I highly recommend them. They are fantastic and the result is simply gorgeous.

A Delicate Aster Kind of Card
I believe this to be the last of the Mother's Day cards that I made for the fundraiser at my work. There could always be a stray set of photos which haven't been edited, but I think this is it.
I'd mentioned earlier this week that I always thought these asters were a bit prickly in shape, but this set of cards demonstrates why I've come to love my Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters dies.
I used an older Heartfelt Creations border stamp and gold ink to add the filigree to the left of the card and lots of pearl elements to embellish and accent these cards.
The set really turned out to be lovely and somethig I thoroughly enjoyed making. I am hoping that the receipients of these cards felt special and cared for too!

I thought I'd share a few photos of the cards sale at my work. It was a very good idea and something fun to do. I'm pleased we were able to help those who help our soldiers.
These cards were made by Bonnie Grassi, the person who led the fundraiser and a very creative sister at my workplace. She's so creative and these cards are lovely.
In the end, only two cards were left unsold. I am unsure who had more fun - us as crafters or the people who purchased the cards.
Our beneficiary was Soldiers Angels who support our troops and send care packages to soldiers overseas A fantatic charity that I had the pleasure to join. Check them out at the link provided. Have a fantastic day!
