Father's Day Cards Featuring Taylored Expressions Argyle Stamp, Stencil and Dies

I just loved the Taylored Expressions release last month for Father's Day and I picked up the Taylored Expressions Argyle Stamp, Stencil and Dies.  I couldn't resist a set of cards made with masculine colors and utilizing my The Greetery AlphaBuds dies.  I kept the design simple and utilized a bit of vellum, the perfect offset for the busy background which keeps the argyle front and center.

So fun!  I'm ready for Father's Day!

Father's Day Cards Featuring Scraps of Love Cactus Coffee Stamp Set

I had some of the images from Scraps of Love Cactus Coffee stamp set in the stash that I had previously colored.  I ended up putting them together with some patterned paper and a heat embossed sentiment (to create that metallic "plate").  I like the black lines better than the white heat embossed, but they are both pleasing uses to these bits that were leftover from another project.

Go Boldly - Star Trek Inspired Cards Featuring Kindred Stamps Space Explorers Stamps

Father's Day is quickly approaching.  I had to pull out my Kindred Stamps Space Explorer's stamps to make a set of cards.  One of these will be going to my dad to celebrate and the others will be used in the stash and for sale on my Etsy store.  I made some very faint galaxy backgrounds with my Distress Oxides and then splattered with water, white ink and glitter watercolors.  The planets are all Distress Oxide backgrounds splattered and then swiped with white acrylic paint.  I'm just so pleased how they turned out.  Check out my Etsy store if you want one of these beauties for yourself.

I'll be back with more Father's Day cards later this week as I have been working furiously.

Creating Card Kits

I was asked by a good friend if I'd be interested in hosting a card making event for her women's group at her church.  Of course, the answer was an enthusiastic "Yes, ma'am!".  Quicker than you could change your mind, I put together these kits using patterned papers from the stash and some stamped and die cut florals using The Greetery Lovely Blossoms stamps and dies.  I fashioned the cards after this set of cards I'd previously made which were directly inspired by the Greetery Design Team.  The only change is that I used a set of Bible verse stamps as the sentiments.

I made two samples to be used to promote the event.  The design is simple enough that an inexperienced card maker can use simple supplies (only glue needed as I will provide card bases and the kits).

I can't wait for the event which is schedule in July and to meet the lovely ladies and hopefully we'll all have a good time!

A Set of Notecards Featuring The Greetery Botanticuts Tulips and Market Baskets Dies

I'm really liking the pairing of these The Greetery Botanticuts Tulips die cuts with the Market Basket dies used with matching patterned paper as liners for the baskets.  I used some bronze metallic cardstock to make these baskets and just love how they turned out.

Of course, half the magic is that fantastic patterned paper.  So much fun to make these cards!
