Sharing a set of cards made with Waffle Flower Bouquet Builder 3 Stamps.  I stamped on Bristol cardstock and colored the image with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

Waffle Flower Bouquet Builder 3 - Thinking of You Notecards

I had a few of the Waffle Flower Bouquet Builder stamped images on my desk from the sympathy card so I decided to use my Inktense watercolor pencils to color a slightly brighter card.  I used a similar design, but amped it up by die cutting the image and mounting on a cardstock from edged in gold heat embossing.

I think this blue and pink version is my favorite.  The light color of the flowers made it slightly difficult to get good contrast with the background, which is also in a slightly lighter ink.  I really enjoyed this session which was a good pick-me-up after having to make a sympathy card.

I'm entering this into Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge Stamp It!

A Sympathy Card

I, unfortunately, needed a sympathy card recently.  I had picked up Waffle Flower's Bouquet Builder 3 stamp set and so I decided to use it to make this card.  I stamped and colored the image using my Inktense watercolor pencils.  The image lends to easy coloring as you can follow the lead of the designer.  The background was stamped over the entire image which did create some smearing.  I was ok with that as I thought it lent a watery, almost tear stained look.  A simple sentiment flag in gold embossing to keep it simple and straightforward along with a torn edge inked with the same ink as the background.

Hoping this sent just the right message - I care and I'm with you through this hard time.

Simon Says Artist Trading Cards

Brandy and I decided to join Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge Artist Trading Cards.  It was so much fun to join MayMay's ATC challenge in May that we thought we'd enjoy this challenge as well.  You can find the MayMay challenge Brandy's Arizona ATCs, Brandy's Watercolor Poppies ATC, Andie's Gorjuss Girls ATC, and Andie's Wild and Free ATCs.  My ATC cards utilize some border dies that I have which I then watercolored to create a soft background for this small, pretty bloom from my Waffle Flower Bouquet Builder 3 stamp set.  I watercolor washed the flowers and then accentuated the coloring with Polychromos pencils, a black gel pen and a white Signo pen to add depth and dimension.

I thought I'd like this yellow and pink version best, but I actually enjoyed the multi-colored version.  This pink one is being sent to my daughter who starts her junior year of college on Monday.  She needed a bit of encouragement and her favorite color is pink.  This'll do!

I'm linking these cards up to the SSS Monday challenge Artist Trading Cards.  I'll be back tomorrow morning with Brandy's cards.
