Another Graphic 45 Card Set

This is another card set made from a card kit that I purchased at least a year ago, maybe two.  They sat in the stash for a while, but now they are all done.

I ended up using some Moda Scrap paper from the Fly scrap paper pack to accent the Graphic 45 elements from the kit.  These two pieces go so very well together. 

In each case, the background patterned paper makes the cards better.

Wow!  I'm so pleased with how these cards came out.  They will go into the stash to be used or given as a gift set.  I'll work to get the last card kit results posted so you can see how they turned out as well.

A Pop-Up Parisian Masterpiece

Brandy made this absolutely stunning birthday card using her Cricut Summer in Paris cart.  The pop-up card was made using her Lawn Fawn Scalloped Card Pop-up die set and the paper used on the card is from the Prima Epiphany paper pack.  All of these pretty details come together to very much make a card that you want to send to your favorite person and/or family member.  What a special card for a 13 year old, don't you think?!

Cleaning Out the Stash

I've had some big changes recently with the passing of my grandma and some other personal changes. It is a tough thing to go through change, but it can also be cathartic.  I've just decided to use this as an opportunity to focus elsewhere and my stash got a fair scrutiny.  Ultimately, I went through every craft supply and made some tough decisions to cull and give away. Brandy and I went to the Scrapbook Expo and there was a "One man's junk is another man's treasure" table.  In the end, I brought one big bag full of stickers and other scrapbook supplies from my grandma's house and another, matching sized box of various tools, stamps and other supplies from my stash.  Those things were snatched up (*mostly) within about 45 minutes. I am hoping that the persons who benefited will put them all to good use.

One thing I didn't give away was a bunch of card kits that I found in the stash.  These two cards are the outcome of that effort. I finished them during the all day crop at the Expo.  The card design is simple, but effective and these cards will go into the stash.

The other benefit is that I purchased the add-on plastic containers for my Scrapbox.  The downside is that I could not put the new plastic containers in two of the bottom slots due to the design of my version 1.0 Workbox.  However, I love, love, love the clean look I was able to attain by labeling the front of these containers.  I love, love, love that I know again about all the wonderful tools and supplies that I own and I plan to use them to great effect.  I've move cards made from the stashed kits I found and I hope to get them photographed, edited and posted in the coming days.

2018 Scrapbook Expo - Card Swap

Just a quick post to share a review of this year's Scrapbook Expo card swap.  Brandy and I participated in our first card swap at 2018 Mesa Play All Day with Embellish It!  We so loved it that we then signed up for the Scrapbook Expo Card Swap.  You receive this adorable little canvas bag to carry your cards home in.  The bonus comes with the cards.

This card was the winner in the swap we participated in. It was the card I voted for as the best (Even though Brandy's card was the best, I thought it a bit self serving to vote for her card since I always would do that!  Here's a picture of her card.)

Two of the ladies in the swap sat near us in the crop all day and participated in the next day's swap.  I traded some of the cards that I made with them for these two cards. I think that was a win, no doubt.

Even though we don't need more cards and not all the cards were the best quality/our taste, both Brandy and I enjoyed the process immensely and will definitely participate again next time there is a card swap to do so. 

Vintage Mini-Album

Brandy has totally outdone herself again.  This card was made to go with this mini-album as a set.  The card is so simply, elegant and pretty!  The delicate nature of that silver die cut butterfly and and sparkly shaker in the inside create the perfect focal point on the card front.

Part of the card charm is how well it goes with this beautiful mini-album.  The flowers on the front cover were die cut using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose dies and shaped by Brandy to perfection.  The silver die cut butterflies on the front of the album float over the page, creating movement and interest.

Each page is lovingly decorated with a combination of patterned papers, tags, embellishments covered in bling.

The tulle toppers to the tags are a perfect accent, adding texture and a light touch of color. 

Brandy enjoys the butterfly and this album had so many technical details crammed inside.  The grey butterflies here as solid, but still give a strong sense of delicate and fluttering.  It is the perfect match for this patterned paper set. 

These tags were removed just to show how they look together.  They can be used to journal or to add additional pictures.  It's a perfect accent piece.

The back page for the album is always accented with this waterfall page. So beautiful, it is a visual splendor.  Whew - that's a lot of picture, but so worth the trip. Thanks for sticking with me for the whole bit.
