An Altenew Dainty Sprig Sympathy Card

I had need of a sympathy card and the cards that I had weren't the right touch, so I decided to color this card panel with my Polychromos pencils.  The image was stamped with a light colored ink to create a no line color result with my Stamptember Altenew Dainty Sprig stamp set on toner grey paper. 

The results wer exactly the softness that I wanted to create for my dear friend who lost her mother.  Ginny was 95 years old when she passed, but it isn't easy to lost your mom either way.  I'm hoping this card would comfort and encourage my friend.

On the inside, a sentiment to encourage right thinking during her time of grief. 

It's Time to Get Your Green On

 This is the first in a set of cards for St. Patrick's Day.  Green is my favorite color and so I couldn't resist using Brandy's Art Impressions Sham-rock stamp set.  I first set about stamping in green dye ink using the four-leaf clover onto a white cardstock card base.   This is a 2 x 2 enclosure card and I intend to give them for St. Patrick's day with a small kindness inside. 

The shamrock stamps an outline, so I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color in the clover.  I'm super pleased how this card turned out.  I made a few so that I can leave some at the flower shop.

A Birthday Card and Present for My Bestie

I was so delighted with how my Winter Anemone cards turned out, I decided to try my hand as a purple version.  Purple is Brandy's favorite color and so this card was made especially for her.  I have an extra special gift to go along with this card along with attending the Embellish It Play All Day in Mesa, AZ.

Our day of crafting started at the Sheraton in Mesa.  This wonderful day of paper crafting is sponsored by Shelby Dredge over at EmbellishOnline.com.  We've attended for quite a few years and so this tradition is one of our fun days each year.

The card was made with my Honey Bee Stamps Winter Anemone stamp set and colored with my Mission Gold watercolors.  So pleased with how this turned out I made a second card with a bright yellow center.  I like the more muted dark center on the first one as much as I like this brighter version.








Keeping with the purple flower theme, I created some paper flowers using leftover coffee filters and watercolors.  Here's the final birthday packaging.

Cards for a Card Swap - We're Heading to the Play All Day in Mesa!

Brandy and I are headed to the Mesa Play All Day with Embellish Online on Saturday and Sunday.  Part of the fun is a card swap which Brandy and I are happy to participate in.  I decided to finish the cards I started earlier in the week using my Papertrey Ink Home to Roost stamp and die set as I intend to use these cards in the swap.

The sentiment shape is a cut and emboss Spellbinders die set.  The frame for the focal image is die cut using my Shape Shifters Circle 4 die and a stitched circle die from Divinity Designs. I thought I liked the pink cards best, but once these cards and the different patterned paper were finished, I like these mint green versions best.

This last one with the diamonds is hands-down my favorite.  I think it is because of the interest in the various colors of green, but it could be that the browns in this card create such a lovely contrast.  I can't hardly wait until Saturday and our fun weekend of visiting, crafting and generally enjoying ourselves all day.

Count Your Many Blessings, Name Them One By One

Brandy decided to put some of those leftover Distress Oxide blended cardstocks to create this ever so lovely thank you card. The stamps and dies come from Papertrey Ink's Songbirds stamp and die set.  This is so delightful - I love the color and the song and the sentiment.  Hooray!
