Notecards Featuring The Ton Amazing Gardenia Stamp

I used my Mission Gold watercolors to color in this amazing floral from The Ton Amazing Gardenia stamp.  The image is so stunning, other than the time it takes to create the final image, cardmaking is easy.  

 

I Have the Best Bestie in the World!

Last Saturday, my bestie Brandy and I were able to get together to celebrate World Cardmaking Day.  This looks like a delicious lunch from a local Hawaiian food joint (yum, yum) and a lot of stamping and die cutting.  I don't think we actually made one card, but we launched up a bunch of supplies for some cards and will be sharing some of those in the days ahead.  Since we didn't get to attend the Embellish It! Play All Day this year, which was intended to be Brandy's birthday present, I decided to use the occasion to gift Brandy a much delayed birthday present and this beautiful card in one of her favorite colors (purple!) colored with my Polychromos colored pencils.  The image was stamped onto watercolor paper using my The Ton Stamps Amazing Gardenia stamp.  I think it made her smile!

Sending Best Wishes - A Bridal Shower Card

 My husband's nephew is getting married and they are having a co-ed bridal shower (wedding shower?!?!).  I took inspiration from their invitation which was dark wood background with very classy information in a country way.  I think this card pops which is what I meant.  I decided to include a photo of my re-set wedding ring and my husband's wedding band (which I sometimes get to wear because he wants to give his finger a rest1).  His band more closely matches my re-set ring than my original band which is becoming thinner over the years.  

So looking forward to this virtual event.  Gotta get this baby in the mail!

Just Saying Hello

I decided to play around with my The Ton Amazing Gardenia stamp set.  I had previously clear, sparkle heat embossed this image onto watercolor paper.  It is really hard to see, but the "white" lines in the image are just a bit sparkly which adds a touch of lovely softness to the finished product.  The floral was watercolored using my Misson Gold watercolors, I love how it turned out.

I decided to mount my gardenia onto a watercolored paper doily on top of a watercolor splatter background.  There are gold sparkle watercolor drops there too - more sparkles!  This card was crying out to use one of The Ton Easy Expressions stamped and die cut sentiments.  So sweet and lovely, this card will go in the stash for just the right occasion.

Happy Mother's Day Cards and Some Watercolor Painting

I picked up The Ton Amazing Gardenia stamp set.  I was so enamored with the large floral which so fit the front of an A2 card.  I promptly stamped onto watercolor paper with a couple of different media.  This first card was stamped and clear, sparkle heat embossed.  When I did the watercoloring of the image, the outline sparkles in real person and the white lines create a perfect accent for the petals.  The watercolors I used are my Mission Gold watercolors. 

I also stamped several with plain black ink.  For this purple version, I ended up stamping over the image using my Simon Says Stamp You Are background stamp and white pigment ink.  I love how this turned out - the purples with the offset of the letter is delightful.

White acrylic paint spatters accent this pink floral image.  Probably the poorest watercoloring job in the bunch, but I still like the final product.

I'm not sure what I like best about this last card.  The yellow accent to the blue, the You Are background over the top or the contrast with the black and white sentiment.  In the end, this is my very favorite of the bunch.
