Alcohol Ink Backgrounds for the Mermaids Featuring Greeting Farm

I only have one stamp set from the Greeting Farm.  An oldie, but a goodie it is the Little Mermaids stamp set.  I didn't purchase the dies at the time and now I have to fussy cut everything out.  This is easy enough and so today I'm sharing a couple of cards with these delightful mermaids.

The backgrounds are some alcohol ink blended pieces of Legion Yupo paper.  This first is the heavy Yupo.  I like the depth of color in this heavy Yupo and it makes a watery background.

This second card has a transparent Yupo which lends a transparent look to the color too, even on white cardstock.

I'm linking up with the Simon Says Stamp Greeting Farm linky party.

Mermaid to be Awesome

Another card featuring The Greeting Farm's Little Mermaids stamped and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut out for creating a scene.  The frame was cut with Simon Says Stamp's This is the Life die and then inlaid with the similarly cut Distress Oxide background.

I've had a ton of fun with these images and now have a few cards for the stash.

Waving Hello From the Mermaids

I had some additional colored images of the mermaids  and wanted to put them together.  I colored the images with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut the images out.  The frame was cut with Simon Says Stamp's This is the Life die and then inlaid with the similarly cut Distress Oxide background.

So pleased with how this card turned out.

Sending Oceans of Love

It's summer and I couldn't resist the urge to get out my Distress Oxides and make a few ocean inspired backgrounds.  Of course, the best match to an ocean background is a mermaid with a few of her fishy friends.

The images were stamped onto Bristol cardstock using my Greeting Farm Little Mermaids stamp set and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  I don't have the dies so I fussy cut each of the images out.

I'm not sure whether I like the first or the second card better.  The Ariel inspired mermaid can't help but be a favorite, but the sweet purple haired mermaid is adorable.

Both cards were fun to make and so I'm entering these into Simon Says Stamp's Monday challenge Life on the Ocean Waves.
