A Few Little Notecards for Mother's Day

I decided to get my Gina K Wreath Builder stamp and template set out to make these cute one-layer 3 x 3 notecards for Mother's Day.  These turned out so nicely that I wonder why I don't do more of with the wreath builder stamps and templates.

You might be wondering where all these Mother's Day cards are to be used.  I am still selling my cards at a local coffee and flower shop.  Hopefully, they will brighten someone's celebration.

Warm Winter Wishes - When Crafting Leads to Disappointment

High Hope's, BIG Disappointment.   I really love my Gina K Wreath Builder system and all the stamp sets that have been released with it.  That part of making this card went beautifully. The die cut is the Memory Box Snowman Circle Collage; which I am so very please with.  Where this card takes a turn is when I decided to try my new-to-me, Brutus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder instead of my beloved go-to Nuvo Glacier White, fine detail.

Unfortunately,  I had done all the work including putting the die cut card top on the background or I would assuredly tossed these backgrounds.  On one card the embossing powder didn't even cover the snowflakes and I had to draw in the sentiment with my Versamark pen.

So disappointed.   I am donating these as part of a local card drive and I would like them to have turned out better.

What do you do when a craft item disappoints you?

Wishing You the Best Birthday Ever!

Just a quick post to share a quick card made with the Gina K Wreath Builder system.   This system has been around for a while now, but I have not used mine near as much as I should.

I think this makes a beautiful card, especially when you need something quick, but want it to be special for the recipient. I made this card for my cousin's birthday. These are her favorite colors, so I know she will like it.  While I was at it, I made some other card fronts I  different combos so I have them ready to go in the future.

Have a great day.

A Fall Thank You Card Set

I'm back with the card set I made using my Hero Arts September 2016 card kit stamp set. This set has some fantastic solid fall leaves which also includes this fantastic acorn stamp.  I paired this up with my Gina K Wreath Builder stamp and templates.  The templates make the stamping super simple when combined with the MISTI (which truly is the Most Important Stamping Tool Invented!).

I used the inks from the Hero Arts September 2016 stamp set - still juicy after two years!  They look great when paired with an olive green and brown archival ink pad that I had on hand.

A whole set - I intended to give these for a gift.  So pleased with how these turned out.

Brandy's Take on the Card Swap

Brandy joined the card swap this weekend at the Scrapbook Expo with me and I wanted to share today her take for the swap.  The swap required 20 exact duplicates and so card design mattered a bunch.  Gina K's Wreath Builder stamps and template set was a perfect solution.  The card above was the original inspiration card.  The layout and style were finalized so that the 20 duplicates could be made.

In the end, this cleaner version was duplicated - each of those black dots on the design inspiration was individually hand stamped - quite a time saver.  In the end, this final version is ever so lovely even without those tiny black dots.  I can say that we've both supper enjoyed our weekend.  There is only a few lovely hours left today and we'll be looking for the next crafting adventure.  Until then, it is girl time and we're enjoying ourselves immensely.
