Feliz Quinceanera

One of the ladies in our Bible study has been bringing her young niece to Bible study for the last several years.  This wonderful young lady celebrated her 15th birthday.

The invitations had a brightly colored sunflower on the front so I decided to use my Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower stamp to make a similarly styled birthday card.  I used a second generation stamped image to have "15" in the background of the focal image.

I'm pleased with how this turned out and am glad to celebrate such a momentous occasion with their family!

I'm entering this into the SSS Monday Challenge Down on the Farm since this card looks like it was made for the farm.

Easter Enclosure Cards

I decided to put together some pretty Easter enclosure cards to sell at the store.  These cards use the Clearly Besotted Spring Plushie and Ewe Are Awesome stamps and dies along with some stenciled clouds using my Distress Inks.  These cute little cards were delightful to make.  I truly enjoyed myself.

I have a few more Easter cards that I am putting the final touches on and should share those soon.

The Sweetest of Birthday Cards

Brandy has outdone herself again!  This time she is using Pink and Main's Hummingbirds stamp and die set to create this delightful scene card.  I decided to start on the inside since it is so wonderful.  Brandy loosely followed Nicole Spohr's tunnel card design using deckled rectangle dies.  However, the star of this show is those hummingbirds, the feeder (in all it's bright red glory!) and those colorful flowers.  Pink and Main's stamps are quite the accents, don't you think?

The front is ever so wonderful too.  I just love the sun and it's rays of light shining out with a bold, black sentiment.  This makes the hummingbirds to jump off the page for sure.  I'm just not sure that someone could make a prettier card.  Hooray, Brandy.  That is beautiful.

More Easter Cards with a Tag

Hello today.  I'm back to share the card set that I made using my Clearly Besotted Spring Plushies stamp set and Papertrey Ink Mix-ups Pocket Tags dies.  I couldn't resist making one in each of of the pastel colors to really accent the colorful flowers and my plushies.  I'm very pleased with how these turned out.

I tried a variety of baker's twine and ribbons to vary the look a bit.  I know that the seam binding is the softest look, but I really like the purple twine.  Oh well, I guess I just enjoyed the process start to finish.

A Beautiful Butterfly Sending Thanks

I get to share with you this beautiful butterfly that Brandy colored with her Polychromos pencils onto kraft cardstock.  The image was heat embossed with Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder.  There is  a ton of texture in this card given the delightful corrugated cardboard card base.  There is no way for me to capture a photo which shows this as it is in real life.  This card was my thank you for her birthday weekend at the Embellish It Play All Day in Mesa, Arizona.  She couldn't have made me feel more special - which wasn't the point of her birthday celebration!
