Somebunny is on the Way

A friend of mine needed a baby shower card on short notice.  I whipped up these cards using my Lawn Fawn Hello Baby stamp and die set.  This card is almost a direct lift of a card made by Nicole Spohr.  I made it my own by choosing my own colors from my Polychromos colored pencils and pairing with some patterned paper  and suede ribbon from the stash.

I super love how this brown bunny turned out and how well it matches that tiny Swiss dot patterned paper.    One of the cards was given away and the rest go into the stash for use in the future, as needed.

I think this plaid background paper is my favorite.  I'm also pleased with the coloring on these bunnies - so adorable.  The Hello Baby stamp and dies are classic and I just haven't found a way to get tired of them.  Overly pleased with the entire set and a fun diversion with all the holiday crafting.

Honoring Our Family Loss at Christmas

The cemetery where my grandmother was laid to rest has pretty strict policies on floral arrangements.  I image this is probably the case for most cemeteries.  Still, they allow one wreath during the month of December.  Since there is very little weather in Arizona, I wanted to make something that my grandma would have loved.  This is the final result - an evergreen wreath base from Hobby Lobby decorated with holly, pine cones and various golden decorations.

Ornaments on the wreath express our Hope as we celebrate Jesus' birth - our ultimate hope of redemption and the lesser hope that we will reunite with my grandma in heaven when we all get to spend eternity with our Savior.  Until we meet again, grandma, we hope.

A Sparkly, Happy Birthday

I was too quick to create this post and blew it when I selected the photo to post.  This is a card Brandy made using her Tim Holtz flower dies, some cardstock scraps and Distress Inks.  Fantastic card!

An Entrepreneurial Endeavor

I've been working with a local flower and gift shop, Rowan Tree, in Tempe Arizona to sell my cards.  I needed some sort of business cards and used my "handmade by andrea" stamp with the Concord and 9th "A" monogram stamp set to create these cards.  The tag was die cut using my Waffle Flower Swatch Tag die.  It is the perfect size to include contact information printed out using my computer and printer on the backside of the ATC card.

I also made these dividers that I'm considering adding to the store display - simple sorting methods for the small display.

I snapped these photos from the shop.  The coffee shop portion is behind this store front and my cards are on display there on the bureau.

A simple display - nothing fancy, but I'm hoping that a few cards can sell throughout the year - more to get rid of from my stash.

A Basic Grey Card Set

Part of the cleaning of the stash earlier this year included the unearthing of this card kit.  Basic Grey has been out of business for nearly 2 years and this card kit would have been purchased a couple of years before that.  I figure it is long past time to actually put these together.

This set reminds me how much I miss Basic Grey (and their calendar kit!).  Easy to put together and packed with lots of extras, this card kit was easy and fun and the cards are quite lovely.  As December has arrived, it's time to start putting together lots of Christmas themed cards.  I have a few pictures of cards already made that I need to get edited and posted.  Christmas will be here soon.
