A Fall Inspired Get Well Encouragement Card

Stopping by today with a quick get well encouragement card I made for a friend who had a minor surgery recently.  He probably didn't think it was so minor, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to make a card to give him a smile.  This card was made on kraft paper using my Justrite Seasonal Trees stamp set.  A Stamp Simply Psalms Bible verse sentiment and a little Zig Clean Color Real Brush marker grass and this card is ready to be mailed.

A Watercolor Little Birthday Card

Today marks my grandfather's 93rd birthday.  I am so blessed and clearly take this for granted - since I don't know what it's like to have lost all your grandparents by this age.  We will celebrate his birthday with my grandmother (they've been married for 71 years) and the rest of our clan here in Arizona.  This isn't the card I've made for him - long story that I'll maybe recount later.  Just a pop in to share this card made for the stash using my Mission Gold watercolors to create the background and then some Justrite Seasonal Trees stamps to set the scene.  It is a masculine themed card, so it seemed appropriate to post today!

On the inside, some washi tape to create room for a sentiment stamped in Black Archival ink.  Keeping it simple for the boy!

Celebrating Fathers

Before I left for my vacation, I'd begun the process of making a few Father's Day cards.  I have my own grandfather and father to celebrate and I thought to make a couple of cards for my children to give to my husband.  Let's be honest, I just felt like making some cards during the stress of the past couple of weeks. :)

These today are made using my JustRite Seasonal Trees stamps in coordination with the Art Impressions Foliage 1 stamps.  I used Distress Inks to create this card.  The backgrounds were made using a waterbrush and some ink smooshed onto a craft mat.  The trees and grasses were stamped with the stamps and then I altered a bit with my waterbrush.

On the inside, a simple sentiment because these cards would be given to a dude one way or another.

For the second card, I altered the look a bit - put a flowering bush in the landscape.  I like the first one better, myself.  However, both were simple and easy to make.  I've a few more card ideas and so I'm off to make the next.
