? and Fabulous

One of the most important reasons I make cards is so that I can make something that I think is specific to the person and unique for them that no one else has and that is what this post is about.

So, Andie is having a milestone birthday and since I was raised that you do not discuss a women's age I will not be sharing that, suffice it to say whatever it is, she is fabulous!

While trying to decide what Andie's special card should be I came across this beautiful Goodness of Life stamp from Unity Stamp Company and just felt compelled to make it to celebrate Andie.

The card doesn't have fancy layers of embellishments or fun interactive pieces, but it does have a pretty classy looking lady, exuding celebration of life, very much how Andie does, and I made green (Andie's favorite color) the spotlight of the dress.

I used my Copic markers; which I reserve for the most important card making activities and blended the background with Distress Oxide inks.

I am so blessed to have Andie as a friend and partner in crafty shenanigans. Here is to another ? year!

Andie edited to add:

I had to share this photo of the card on display in my front room where everyone can view this delightful creation and I can see it and feel Brandy's care and love daily.  Thanks my friend!

Flowery Birthday Card

In my family, my husband refers to October, November and December as birthday season.  We have quite a few of the family birthdays in a short 8 week period right around the holidays.  Brandy has a birthday season of her own, but it occurs around March and so she's been on a roll lately.  I get the pleasure of sharing this lovely with you today.

The flowers were stamped in Copic friendly ink onto white cardstock using WPlus9's Doodle Buds stamp set.  Brandy colored the flowers and leaves with her Copic markers and used some foam tape to raise the flowers making them 3D.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  Such a bright a beautiful card - its a great choice for a spring birthday card, don't you think?

Since she's on a roll, I'll have more Brandy creations to share with you just as soon as I edit the photos and get them posted.  Stay tuned!

Meanwhile, I'm linking this card up to the following challenges:

Coloring with My Besties - Sisters

Sharing this beautiful image colored by Brandy using her Copic markers.  So incredibly beautiful, don't you think?  The hair on these girls is just fantastic, realistic and admirable.  The image is a digi stamp from My Besties.  My girlfriend, Brandy, is on fire this week!

Saying Goodbye to a Coworker

Brandy looked to some online inspiration for this card.  Her regular masseuse massage therapist  (excuse me,  I wasn't aware of the proper name) moving to a different city and would no longer be working at the same Massage Envy location.  Isn't this card just adorable?

The image was stamped with black Archival ink and colored with Copic markers.  She then fussy cut the image out and adhered the image to the card with foam squares.  The blue ribbon picks up blue in the flowers of the patterned paper.  I find this card absolutely charming, don't you.

Beautiful Copic Marker Colored Digi Stamp

Brandy has been at it again, this time playing with her Copic markers.  This beautiful image is a digistamp which has been printed onto a piece of white specialty stamping paper.  The image on the right was the first, learning attempt and the image on the left is the final product.  Each image is finished with multiple Distress Ink layers applied in different colors using the Ink Blending Tool.  This image became the face of a beautiful notecard, but I didn't grab a snapshot before Brandy sent this off in the mail.  Don't you just love Brandy's work?

3-D Cards Using Heartfelt Creations and Copic Markers

Brandy made these lovely cards using her Heartfelt Creations products, Copic Markers, and Distress Inks. Since I can't seem to carve out time for her to post (if I get scrappin' time with her, I'm happy!), I thought I would share her product with you.

These beautiful cards were made using the Heartfelt Creations stamps that coordinate with the Spellbinders (and other Heartfelt Creations) flower dies.  The flowers were stamped and die cut, then colored using Copic Markers and the blending solution.  The card background was stamped using the cluster stamps from Heartfelt Creations and then colored with the Copic Markers as well.  You can see corner punches were used to create decorative corners.  These card bases were then enhanced with Distress Inks using the Blending Tool.  The flowers were shaped and strategically adhered to the card bases.  The effect was very beautiful and certainly worth the time and effort spent creating these lovely works of art!  I believe Brandy used these cards for Mother's Day cards and still has a couple left over for some future purposes.  What a wonderful result!
